Research Partnership Grants aim to strengthen or initiate scientific exchange between researchers from Swiss and Latin American institutions in all disciplines. These grants are particularly useful to develop joint project proposals to be submitted to large funding agencies in Latin America, Switzerland, and Europe or to combine already existing and independently funded projects. The Leading House invites scholars from Switzerland to propose mono- or interdisciplinary research projects in any Latin American country, involving bilateral or multilateral partnerships. Belmont Forum — Climate, Environment, and Health
The Belmont Forum welcomes transdisciplinary proposals that address the nexus of Climate, Environment, and Health. Proposals to the Belmont Forum must address one of the following four themes: Decision-science of environmental behavior and implementation; Food, Environment, and Biological Security; Climate Risks to Ecosystems & Populations. World Academy of Sciences — TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowships in India
India’s Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) offers postdoctoral fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (other than India) to pursue postdoctoral research at CSIR’s laboratories and institutes. The duration of the fellowships is six to twelve months. Subject areas range across the physical and natural sciences, including agricultural sciences. Village Capital — Ecosystem Restoration
Village Capital supports 10-12 impact-driven startups building locally viable ecosystem restoration solutions in Africa. The program addresses entrepreneurs championing forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, wetland restoration and water conservation, sustainable agriculture and climate tech solutions. Participants will receive mentorship and access to an investment analyst. Eligibility extends to (for-profit) startups building locally viable ecosystem restoration solutions. The Thomson Reuters Foundation invites journalists from Latin America to register for a workshop on rural poverty and agriculture. The program will build the capacity of journalists to cover food security, food production, markets and climate issues. United States Agency for International Development — Climate Resilient Agriculture
The United States Agency for International Development in Vietnam (USAID) seeks applications from qualified entities to implement the USAID Climate Resilient Agriculture in the Mekong Delta. The purpose of the program is to advance low-emissions, climate-resilient agricultural livelihoods combined with biodiversity conservation to support carbon sequestration, healthy ecosystems, and resilience of vulnerable communities. The UNICEF Venture Fund makes up to US$100 thousand in equity-free investments to provide seed funding to for-profit start-ups developing frontier technology solutions that can positively impact the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children and youth. The fund supports technology solutions from different fields, as long as they benefit vulnerable populations, including but not limited to, agriculture, water, and energy. Banyan Tree Global Foundation — Greater Good Grants
Bayan Tree Global Foundation accepts applications for the “2024 Greater Good Grants,” which aim to impactful initiatives that benefit local communities and environments in Mexico, Cuba, Morocco, Islands in Eastern Africa and Southeast Asia. The French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Program offers 40 fellowship positions. The call is open to all disciplines in social sciences and the humanities and all research fields. The fellowship covers a living allowance of €2,700 per month, accommodation or support for relocation, an individual research and training budget equivalent to €2,500 per year, and travel expenses. Researchers from all countries are eligible but they have to have spent no more than 12 months in France during the three years prior to the application deadline.
