European Commission — Cross-Border Cooperation Montenegro – Albania

The European Commission (EC) supports cross-border cooperation with a view to promoting socio-economic development in Montenegro and Albania. The call for proposals seeks cooperation in the field of cultural and natural heritage preservation that enhances the competitiveness of the tourism sector, protects the environment and promotes climate change adaptation, or promotes labor. Applicants may request up to €900 thousand in project funding. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations established in Montenegro or Albania. SHE Foundation — Global Seed Grant

Korea SHE Foundation promotes and creates safe and sustainable households, workplaces and local communities. The grant will fund community projects that are related to safety, health, and environment, e.g., campaigns, workshops, training programs, content production, etc. Projects can focus on finding solutions to and promote clean air and water, sustainable agriculture, clean energy, climate action, conservation, environmental education and environmental justice. Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture — Graduate Research Grants

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) and the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA) invite applications from RUFORUM Member Universities. Graduate Research Grants aim at building the capability of graduate students and post-graduate scientists in Africa to conduct applied research on agricultural greenhouse gasses. Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture — Doctoral Research Grants

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) and the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA) invite applications from RUFORUM Member Universities. Doctoral Research Grants aim to train PhD students in Africa to conduct advanced applied research on livestock greenhouse gasses. OPEC Fund for International Development — Young Professional Development Program

The Young Professional Development Program (YPDP) is a two-year program designed to prepare young professionals from OPEC Fund member countries for a career in global development. The themes include poverty reduction, energy and sustainable development, environment, and other related science and technology fields. YPDP offers training, coaching and mentoring, the opportunity to experience different departments and access to professional networks. Inter-American Development Bank — Women in STEM Competition

WeXchange seeks to identify the most innovative women entrepreneurs in STEM from Latin America and the Caribbean and connect them with potential financing opportunities. The competition supports female entrepreneurs in tech (e.g., agritech, biotech, sustainable energy etc.). 15 women-led startups will pitch their business to investors and participate in a micro-acceleration program with workshops, keynotes and one-on-one mentoring sessions. Norwegian University of Life Sciences — Finance and Rural Development

The Norwegian University of Life Sciences seeks candidates for a three-year PhD-position in International Environment and Development Studies with focus on Finance and Rural Development. The university welcomes research proposals by applicants undertaking case study, comparative, or conceptual inquiries into financial logics, practices, instruments and programs for specific agriculture, conservation, forestry, or other rural-centered resource sectors. Applications are open for the VALUE4HER Women Agripreneur of the Year Awards (WAYA). World Academy of Sciences — Seed Grant for African Principal Investigators

TWAS launches a new program to strengthen the capacity of African countries lagging in science and technology. The program is aimed at young scientists who are getting established in their country or about to return home to an academic position. Under this scheme, grants are awarded to promising high-level research projects in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Information Computer Technology, Mathematics, Medical Sciences and Physics carried out in African countries. Research Grants to research units are in the maximum amount of US$67 thousand. The grants, which are normally provided for a period of 24 months, may be used to purchase scientific equipment, consumables, which can include fieldwork and maintenance of equipment and specialized literature (textbooks and proceedings).
