The Technovators for Social Good Scholarship will sponsor a young leader to attend the One Young World 2022 Summit in Manchester (UK) and enable them to participate in speeches, panels, networking, and workshops. Candidates must be females aged 18 – 30 leading innovative and impactful initiatives to promote access and opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) for women. UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment — FoodTech Challenge
The FoodTech Challenge seeks technologies that are on the cusp of transforming food and traditional agriculture practices, efficiently and sustainably. The challenge targets early-stage start-ups, ranging from international university-based research teams to individual entrepreneurs and small firms. The total prize pool is valued at US$2 million. SDSN Youth — Global Innovation and Impact Awards
SDSN Youth mobilizes youth to the forefront of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by connecting young people to pathways of understanding, collaboration and action. The Global Innovation and Impact Awards aim to recognize and mobilize leading solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals. The Awards target young changemakers worldwide building solutions for the SDGs. The submissions must have a measurable positive impact on achieving at least one of the 17 SDGs. SDSN Youth will work collaboratively with the awardees to provide seed funding, mentorship and access to exclusive opportunities. Agropolis Fondation — Doctoral Fellowship
The Agropolis Fondation seeks to promote the agro-ecological transition by funding PhD research of young scientists. PhD research projects may focus on three main themes: Understanding the effects of climate change on agricultural systems; documenting and analyzing the measures and policies that support the conservation, and promote sustainable use of biodiversity in various agroecosystems, and ensuring sustainable food systems by moving towards more responsible production and consumption. U. S. Department of Agriculture — International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program
The International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program (IAEFP) provides opportunities to U.S. citizens to assist developing countries in establishing school-based agricultural education and youth extension programs. Topics should promote bilateral agricultural trade and address priorities on climate smart agricultural practices. USDA anticipates issuing up to 2 awards. Each award is expected to support up to nine fellows. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in an agriculture-related field and understand U.S. school-based agricultural education. World Academy of Sciences — Doctoral Fellowships in South Africa
The TWAS-NRF Doctoral Fellowships are awarded to scientists from developing countries (other than South Africa) to enable them to pursue PhD research in the natural sciences. Awarded candidates will be provided partial cost of study funding for tuition fees and accommodation. The maximum duration of the fellowship is 3 years. Rolex Awards — Rolex Awards for Enterprise 2023
The Rolex Awards invest in people seeking solutions to humankind’s most pressing challenges and support entrepreneurs anywhere in the world who have ground-breaking proposals or initiatives that will help improve the quality of life on the planet. Applications can be submitted in five categories: science and health, applied technology, exploration, cultural heritage, and the environment. Projects should be planned for the future, or completed only partially. Each winner will receive CHF 200 thousand in order to help her/him with project implementation. The Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) is an award focusing on water-related scientific innovation from around the world. The 11th cycle of the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water consists of one creativity prize and four specialized prizes. The Creativity Prize of US$266 thousand is made for pioneering and innovative research in any water-related field. The four specialized prizes are worth US$133 thousand each and are made for research in surface water; groundwater; alternative water (e.g., desalinization, wastewater treatment, etc.); and water management and protection. University of Science and Technology of Hanoi — Masters Studies 2022-2023
The University of Science and Technology of Hanoi offers Bachelor, Master, and PhD programs in subject areas that include energy; water, environment, oceanography; and several others. Eligibility to apply extends to Vietnamese and international students graduated from relevant training fields in or before 2022, with good academic results and ability in English. For highly qualified applicants, merit-based scholarships and/or need-based fellowships cover up to 100% of tuition fees and living expenses. Thought for Food Foundation — Thought For Food Challenge
The Thought for Food Foundation invites innovators and entrepreneurs from all parts of the world to submit locally-relevant solutions that address a wide range of pressing challenges across the food and agriculture value chain. Participants gain access to the TFF Digital Labs, a digital collaboration platform that provides on-demand access to leading industry experts, resources, and interactive experiences. One Grand Prize winner will receive US$30 thousand to use for the purpose of their project. TFF counts on challenge partners to encourage topical solution development (note: partners offer additional awards and cash prizes). Participants join as teams of 2-5 with members between the ages of 18-40. Pitch ideas have to be submitted by 03 June 2022. TFF Challenge
