NaturVision is a nature and environmental film festival in Ludwigsburg (German) with focus on documentary productions on the subjects of nature, wildlife, people, environment, and sustainability. NaturVision seeks film entries for its 2021 festival in 12 different categories. The competition is open to new and established filmmakers as well as television production companies from anywhere in the world. King Baudouin Foundation — Subsidies in Support of Sustainable Development
The Business Partnership Facility awards subsidies to support and develop private sector involvement in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in developing countries. The project must contribute to achieving at least one clearly identified SDG. Funding of up to €200 thousand is available. Partnerships must comprise actors from the private sector, civil society, academia and/or the public sector, with at least one organization from the for-profit private sector. Nestlé — Creating Shared Value Prize for a Waste-Free Future
Nestlé and Ashoka welcome applications to the Nestlé “Creating Shared Value” Prize. The 2020 Prize seeks innovative solutions to address global pollution challenges and supports initiatives that work towards a waste-free future. Social enterprises, for-profit businesses and NGOs worldwide are eligible to apply. Applications from local grassroots organizations are preferred over applications from international large-scale organizations. Up to five winners will share a cash prize of CHF250 thousand. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations — Global AgriInno Challenge 2020
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Zhejiang University, seek youth-led innovations and solutions in response to the challenges associated with distribution and sales of agri-food products. Selected teams of two to five young innovators will be invited to further develop and pitch their digital development solutions in China (November 2020). Winning teams will receive seed funding to develop their ideas. The agri-innovation challenge is open to all youth (below 35 years old) with digital innovations or ideas for the agri-food sector. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service — Arctic Goose Joint Venture
The Arctic Goose Joint Venture (AGJV) makes grants for projects and studies that provide and improve scientific information to support and promote effective management, monitoring, and conservation of northern-nesting geese. The AGJV welcomes modest funding requests of up to US$150 thousand for projects of mainly one to three years. Applications are encouraged from nonprofit organizations, educational organizations, governments, and individual companies. Netherlands Enterprise Agency — DHI Subsidy Scheme
The DHI scheme aims to increase and strengthen the number of Dutch companies operating successfully in emerging markets and developing countries. DHI focuses on SMEs in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom with interest in foreign markets (especially developing and emerging economies). Dutch SMEs can request subsidies for feasibility studies (with a foreign partner), investment preparation projects, or demonstration projects of a technology, product or service in the target country. UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council — Funding for International Workshops
The UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) provides funding for international workshops to stimulate joint research cooperations. The workshop can be held overseas or in the UK. Awards are up to £10 thousand. BBSRC invites applications from countries worldwide, but is particularly interested in promoting further links with Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, EU Member States, India, Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan and the USA. Erasmus Mundus — Joint Master Degree in Aquaculture, Environment, and Society
The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Aquaculture, Environment and Society (EM JMD ACES) is a full-time master’s program for two years for European and international students. Applicants are expected to have an appropriate background in aquaculture, marine science, aquatic biology, biology, environmental sciences, marine resources, environmental economics, or environmental policy. Participating students will divide their semesters among universities in the UK, Greece, and France. The program offers limited scholarships to cover tuition fees, living, and travel expenses.
