The YouthLead Ambassador program is a six-month development and leadership program for young changemakers between the ages of 18 and 35 years. The Ambassadors receive a stipend of US$300 at the conclusion of their successful ambassadorship. Eligibility is limited to young changemakers from low-and middle-income countries in the youth-development sector with a proven track record in supporting and mobilizing other young people in their communities. Global University Climate Forum — Student Action to Address Climate Change
The Global University Climate Forum brings student activists together to share ideas and act on the global imperative of addressing climate change. The Forum is a one-year program offering a series of workshops that will cover a range of topics pertaining to climate action. Selected teams will be invited to participate in a series of workshops. After the workshops, students will execute their ideas. College and University students from around the world are invited to apply with action-oriented projects. ISEKI-Food Association — Food Biodiversity Student Competition
The 2020 Food Factory-4-Us Sustainable Supply Chain International Student Competition seeks great ideas for valorizing food biodiversity. The competition is open to Master’s students enrolled in a food study program in any country. Participants have to form teams of 3-5 students, get a faculty mentor and present a project proposal. IHE Delft Institute for Water Education — Open Courseware Water Productivity
IHE Delft and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) announce a new open online course on “Water Productivity and Water Accounting using WaPOR.” The WaPOR program assists countries in monitoring water productivity, identifying water productivity gaps, proposing solutions to reduce these gaps, and contributing to a sustainable increase in agricultural production. The online course targets practitioners and academicians who are working in water resources management and related fields and have an interest in using open access remote sensing data and other open-access data to assess the water resources situation in their region. International Fund for Agricultural Development — Global South Rural Poverty Alleviation
The China-IFAD South-South and Triangular Cooperation Facility supports the generation and exchange of innovative solutions that can be of value in the post-COVID-19 recovery period and provide a benefit to poor rural people. The grant amount will range between US$200-500 thousand for a maximum duration of two years. Project proposals have to be developed in collaboration with national governments or local organizations in developing countries, and reflect the priorities of the COVID-19 response package of national governments. Television for the Environment (tve) seeks entries for the Global Sustainability Awards (GSFA). The tve Global Sustainability Film Awards recognizes outstanding films that inspire audiences with real-world solutions for a more sustainable future. Films need to address a relevant sustainable development goal and cogently explain its importance or show a relevant solution. To be eligible for GSFA 2020 all entered films must be made between the period July 2018 and July 2020. The competition is open to any company, organization or individual in any country. U.S. Agency for International Development — Emergency and Development Food and Nutrition Security Activities
The IDEAL Small Grants Program provides funding to existing projects with the aim to identify and address knowledge and capacity gaps in food and nutrition security programs around the world. The Applied Research Award (ARA) consists of Micro Grants funded up to $300 thousand for up to 12 months of implementation. Projects should focus on the development of tools or conduct topic-specific learning events. Applicants may be U.S. and non-U.S. NGOs, for-profit organizations, or institutions of higher education.
