NewGen — Renewable Energy Accelerator

The NewGen Renewable Energy Accelerator (NewGen) supports the development and implementation of youth-led solutions in the climate and sustainable energy sectors. The program consists of a series of training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing activities. Youth-led start-ups, scale-ups, and growth businesses from all around the world can apply. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Serbia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. CFLI provides funding to projects that implement environment and climate action projects focusing on adaptation and mitigation, water management, and other thematic priorities. The average contribution is C$24 thousand to C$30 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit local, national, or community-based organizations. Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation — Pelagos Initiative

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (PA2F) funds and promotes activities for the protection, conservation, and awareness of the Pelagos Sanctuary with a specific focus on biodiversity conservation, and climate action. PA2F encourages submissions of projects that may include knowledge acquisition, conservation, and restoration measures, lobbying/advocacy, or awareness-raising projects. Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research — AgriTech Innovation Challenge Egypt

CGIAR seeks scientists and entrepreneurs working on agri-tech solutions for a more sustainable, efficient, and climate-resilient agricultural system in Egypt. The AgriTech4Egypt Innovation Challenge is designed specifically for early-stage agri-tech ventures. Participants will receive support to build the foundations of an agri-tech venture for scalable growth in Egypt. The challenge is open to national and international innovation teams. IBM — Resilient Cities

The IBM Sustainability Accelerator supports communities vulnerable to environmental challenges. Nonprofit and governmental organizations are encouraged to submit proposals for tech-driven projects advancing resilient cities. FONTAGRO — Climate Smart Agriculture Program

FONTAGRO seeks applications to improve the sustainability and resilience of production systems in the face of the impact of climate change in Latin America and the Caribbean without increasing greenhouse gas emissions. FONTAGRO will co-finance up to four proposals for a maximum amount of US$200 thousand each. Applicants have to register before submitting proposals. The registration deadline is 03 April 2024. Earth Journalism Network — Seed Grants for Media Outlets in Nepal

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN)offers grants of €4,500 to media outlets in Nepal to support new media programming on natural resource management and green growth. The grants are intended to seed new programs, columns, or sections that focus on providing innovative and solutions-oriented information on green growth and natural resource management to the public and policymakers. Eligibility extends to media outlets in Nepal – including newspapers, online media, radio, television, multimedia platforms, and social media channels. The application deadline is 10 April 2024. University of St. Andrews — St. Andrews Prize for the Environment 2024

The annual St Andrews Prize for the Environment recognizes significant contributions to environmental conservation in the developing world. The subject areas include human-animal conflicts; water and biodiversity; sanitation; air quality; solar power; food supply; waste and recycling; environmental justice; and others. Applications are invited from individuals, multi-disciplinary teams, and community groups. Research projects will not be considered. The Prize consists of an award of US$100 thousand and a medal.
