The Asia Climate Solutions (ACS) Design Grant awards grant funding for the design and launch of innovative blended finance solutions for climate transition and resilience in Asia. The grant will target critical climate mitigation and adaptation sectors in Asia including nature-based solutions, clean energy transition, and sustainable cities and infrastructure. Feasibility study grants range between US$50 thousand to US$200 thousand. Proof-of-concept grants range between US$200 thousand to US$400 thousand. Earth Journalism Network — Investigative Reporting Fellowship: Extreme Weather in the Philippines
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers reporting fellowships to journalists in the Philippines to support the production of investigative and in-depth reports on adaptation measures and government preparedness for climate-induced natural disasters. EJN accepts applications from journalists based in the Philippines with a minimum of two years of professional journalism experience. Global Research Alliance — Climate, Food and Farming Scholarships
The Climate, Food and Farming, Global Research Alliance Development Scholarships (CLIFF-GRADS) Program is a capacity training program for early-career scientists from developing countries to conduct applied research in agriculture greenhouse gas emissions quantification and mitigation. The opportunity is open to PhD students undertaking their PhD at a university in a developing country. Successful applicants will go on short term (4-6 month) research stays at a host institution. Successful applicants receive a grant of about US$14 thousand to cover travel, living and research costs during their research stay. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled in a PhD programme at a university in a developing country and must not have previously received a CLIFF-GRADS grant. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and SERCA offer MS and PhD scholarships in agriculture at partner universities in Southeast Asia. The scholarship is open to nationals from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Timor-Leste, Thailand, and Vietnam planning to pursue graduate studies in development-related fields. Bridges for Enterprise — Business Incubation Program for Social Enterprises
Bridges for Enterprise (BfE) works with social impact startups from Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. The Incubation Program supports entrepreneurs seeking to solve some of the world’s most urgent challenges. The program is open to for-profit and non-profit social enterprises and startups at the pre-seed or seed stage. Participating entrepreneurs receive 3 to 4 months of professional advice and mentorship. Applications can be submitted on a rolling basis year-round. The Marisla Foundation makes grants to projects that promote the conservation of biological diversity and advance sustainable ecosystem management in North America, Mexico, Hawaii, Chile, and the Western Pacific. The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) hosts a five-day virtual workshop for journalists in Indonesia reporting on business, industry, energy and the environment. Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, radio) from all types of organizations across Indonesia. Participants who attend all sessions will receive a certificate of completion from EJN and will also be eligible to apply for a story grant following the workshop.
