YES Bank — Cleantech Accelerator

The program YES SCALE Cleantech Accelerator seeks startups focusing on energy efficiency, waste management and water management. Selected startups receive a grant of up to US$30 thousand, plus mentoring and project support. Eligibility extends to Indian and globally based startups. GSMA — Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation Fund

The GSMA Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation Fund seeks innovations in the use of mobile technology to address humanitarian challenges. This funding round will test new technical solutions and catalyse ideas to improve food security and adaptation/resilience to climate change, among others. Projects should be implemented in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa, or Latin America. United Nations — Youth Submissions for the 67th UN DPI/NGO Conference

The Youth Sub-Committee seeks submissions from youth, showcasing their work inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals at the 67th UN DPI/NGO Conference, ”We the Peoples”. Video submissions should show why Multilateralism is needed in ending poverty, addressing climate change, forging equality and ensuring access to education in order to create a more peaceful world. India Department of Science and Technology — Danish-Indian Research Cooperation in Renewable Energy

The Innovation Fund Denmark (IFD) and the India Department of Science and Technology (DST) launch a call for joint projects to further develop and strengthen the Danish-Indian research cooperation in the areas Renewable Energy. The Danish and Indian applicants must develop one joint project plan. Project proposals must include one Principal Investigator (PI) each in India and Denmark. U.S. Department of State — Mapping and Analysis of Illegally Harvested Timber and Forest Products

The U.S. Department of State announces a funding opportunity for mapping and analysis of illegally harvested timber and forest products in global trade for developing countries. The aim of this call is to gather data and build capacity to identify, analyze, and map illegal timber and forest products trade in key regions for forest production and trade. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service — Endangered Species Conservation Fund 2018

The Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund makes grants for projects that conserve the world’s most endangered species. Applicant must demonstrate a direct conservation benefit to the species or its habitat. While funding can only be granted to government agencies, individuals or groups may work with an eligible state government. World Bank — Collaborative Data Innovations for Sustainable Development

The World Bank, in collaboration with the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), is interested in supporting innovative collaborations for data production to be directed towards sustainable development. Consortium members may include social enterprises, for-profit companies, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and academic organizations. World Academy of Sciences — Young Scientists’ Prize for Water Sanitation

The World Academy of Sciences Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Partner (TWAS-SAREP) honours one young scientist who has made significant contribution to improve sustainability of water and sanitation-related activities and programmes in the developing world. The winner will receive US$ 2,000. Nominees must be sub-Saharan African nationals. Nominations are invited from TWAS fellows, research institutions, research councils and universities. India Department of Science and Technology — Indo-Belarus Joint Research Programme

The India Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the State Committee of Scientific Research of Belarus invite joint R&D project proposals from scientists & technologists. Focus areas include energy; biotechnology; agrotechnology and food security; and clean technology for environment; among others. The funding will cover research expenses and exchange of visits for research projects. Research projects should be carried out jointly by research teams from India and Belarus. Mission Innovation — Carbon Capture Innovation Challenge

Mission Innovation (MI) seeks to identify technologies in the field of CO2 capture, separation, storage and CO2 value addition. The funding of US$ 200 thousand to US$1 million under this call will be available to support activities towards design, research & development of technologies that can address widely affordable ways for carbon capture. The project has to be led by a scientist from India with the participation of at least one MI member country (including China, Indonesia, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia, among others).
