Conservation Action Research Network — Aspire Grant Program 2024

The Aspire Grant Program provides competitive research grants of up to US$5 thousand for African graduate students and early-career professionals working in the areas of biodiversity, conservation, wildlife, and ecosystem health in the Congo Basin. Applicants should be 35 years of age or younger and reside in one of the following countries: Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, or Uganda. Irish Government — Funding for Micro-Projects in the Pacific

The Embassy of Ireland, Canberra (ICMPS) offers grants of up to US$20 thousand to organizations in the Pacific that work on issues related to women’s rights, climate change, biodiversity, conflict resolution, and human rights. Organizations must be based in the Pacific and be an indigenous, locally managed, non-profit organization. Applications are due by 11 April 2023. A second round specifically for organizations based in Fiji, Nauru, Solomon Islands, or Papua New Guinea will be open from 18 April to 30 June 2024. Know more

Zoological Society of London — Rapid Feasibility Awards

The EDGE Protected and Conserved Area Fund provides grants to local Civil Society Organizations that are focused on creating or expanding protected and conserved areas for EDGE species. The Rapid Feasibility Awards encourage conservationists and researchers to evaluate important potential sites for creating new Protected Areas. Awards average US$5 thousand to US$10 thousand. Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation — Pelagos Initiative

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (PA2F) funds and promotes activities for the protection, conservation, and awareness of the Pelagos Sanctuary with a specific focus on biodiversity conservation, and climate action. PA2F encourages submissions of projects that may include knowledge acquisition, conservation, and restoration measures, lobbying/advocacy, or awareness-raising projects. UN Global Compact — SDG Pioneers

UN Global Compact invites nominations and applications to the 2024 SDG Pioneer program. SDG Pioneer celebrates individuals and businesses behind sustainability in global and local markets. UN Global Compact encourages professionals working at any level of a UN Global Compact-participating company who are leveraging a principles-based approach to set ambitious, scalable, and impactful Sustainable Development Goal targets to apply. Atlantis Dubai — Marine Conservation

The Atlantis Atlas Project (AAP) contributes to the conservation, sustainability, and environmental educational initiatives of marine wildlife. Projects must contribute to the long-term survival of species in natural ecosystems, advance conservation practices that can be applied to animals in their natural ecosystems, enhance understanding of social and environmental responsibility, or develop new ways to reduce environmental impacts. Association of Commonwealth Universities — Higher Education and SDGs Grants

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) accepts applications for the Higher Education and the SDGs Challenge Grants to fund collaborative work around the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The grants are open to professional and academic staff at ACU member universities. Four grants of £2,500 are available. Applicants are encouraged to collaborate with member universities to promote further Commonwealth partnerships or other organizations such as local governments. The closing date is 02 June 2024. InfoNile — Scientist-Journalist Co-Production Fellowship

InfoNile invites applications from journalists and scientists in the Nile Basin countries (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Egypt, DRC, Sudan, and South Sudan) for a fellowship program (June 2024 to March 2025) that will involve training, mentorship, and coproduction of communication outputs based on scientific research. Journalists with an interest in water and the environment; and scientists and researchers from different disciplines working on topics related to water and/or the environment, such as climate change; biodiversity; water quality; water infrastructure, and hydrology in the Nile Basin countries are invited to apply. Climate and Development Knowledge Network — MSc. Program

The Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) implements the Capacity Development for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Experts (CABES) MSc. program in “Managing Science-Policy-Practice Interface on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services” to build the capacities of youths on sustainable development pathways and biodiversity policy-making decision processes. Scholarship and other forms of support will be provided to successful candidates. The program targets candidates from Sub-Saharan Africa. Earth Journalism Network — Seed Grants for Media Outlets in Nepal

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN)offers grants of €4,500 to media outlets in Nepal to support new media programming on natural resource management and green growth. The grants are intended to seed new programs, columns, or sections that focus on providing innovative and solutions-oriented information on green growth and natural resource management to the public and policymakers.
