Government of India — ASEAN-India Research Training Fellowship
The ASEAN-India Research Training Fellowship (AI-RTF) aims to promote cooperation in science, technology and innovation through joint research activities in environmental management, climate change adaptation, agricultural technologies, alternative energy, biodiversity, biotechnology, and others. The Fellowship provides ASEAN young researchers with the opportunity to work at an Indian research/academic institution. The duration of the Fellowship will be for a period of 2-6 months. Fellows receive full financial assistance, including international travel, accommodation, meals, and a one-time grant of up to INR 40 thousand for research expenses. European Commission — Promoting Green Growth in Nepal
The European Commission (EC) seeks to support civil society organizations’ ability to engage as actors promoting green growth and good governance. EC will fund projects that promote a just transition to a climate-neutral, resource-efficient and circular economy, and prevent biodiversity loss through the protection, restoration and promotion of sustainable use of ecosystems. Applicants can request up to €1.4 million in funding. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations legally established in Nepal or Member States of the European Union. PEMSEA — Youth and the Oceans Video Competition
The Youth and the Oceans video competition aims to showcase the understanding the youth have of their oceans. The videos can have any subject associated with the theme Coastal communities, life with the ocean. It should be a 3 to 5-minute video, created entirely from material filmed/created by youth. The competition is open to high school students, university students, and amateurs up to 30 years old. Entry must be an original video filmed in one of the following East Asian countries: Brunei, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, DPR Korea, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, RO Korea, Singapore, Timor-Leste, Thailand, or Vietnam. Blue Action Fund — Wider Caribbean Sea
The Blue Action Fund announces a new open call for grant proposals focusing on the Wider Caribbean Sea. The Fund provides individual grants to selected conservation projects with focus on marine protected areas (MPAs) to support conservation of biodiversity, and projects that seek to enhance livelihood conditions and food security. The Fund will award grants of €2-4 million. Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations with proven experience in coastal and marine conservation and sustainable livelihood development in the area. Prince Albert II Foundation — Forest Conservation through Local and Indigenous Action
The Prince Albert II Foundation calls for project proposals on forest conservation through the action of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities. The foundation seeks to support conservation of forest ecosystems through the action of indigenous peoples and local communities in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, and Pacific islands. Projects should focus on the conservation of high ecological value areas and follow a holistic approach to preserve all elements that make up these natural ecosystems and the biodiversity they contain; fauna, flora, soil, air, human beings. Any financial support requested should not exceed 50% of the total project budget. Palladium — Challenge Fund
Palladium funds humanitarian relief efforts and supports community projects with the aim to source innovative responses to global challenges. In 2022, Palladium supports organizations that have innovative approaches to valuing nature, or sustainable solutions to getting refugees into jobs with up to AU$75 thousand. JRS Biodiversity Foundation — Information on Freshwater Biodiversity and Pollinator Biodiversity in Africa
The JRS Biodiversity Foundation aims to increase the access to and the use of information for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa. The current call for proposals requests multi-year projects focused on biodiversity data, knowledge, and information services related to freshwater biodiversity and pollinator biodiversity in Eastern and Southern Africa. Preference is for projects that can grow to larger scale, or that can be transferred across geographic regions or across organizational and institutional contexts.
