The Caribbean Regional Program funds projects to reduce the underlying threats to coastal and marine biodiversity, to conserve the coastal and marine flora and fauna, and to maximize conservation impact by developing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders on the local, national, regional and international levels. The “young scientists’ mobility grant” aims to develop new research partnerships and collaborations between Switzerland and MENA countries. Mobility grants can be awarded to young scientists who hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree (no PhD) and have less than 6 years of professional research experience. The São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Scenarios and Modelling on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services to Support Human Well-Being (SPSAS Scenarios) will hold a 2-week training and networking session in July 2019 on scenarios and modeling in biodiversity and ecosystem services, and its relation to human wellbeing. The Advanced School will be led by speakers from several countries. Approximately 100 applicants, 50 from Brazil and 50 from other countries will be selected to participate in the Advanced School.
