UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council — Future Leader Fellowship

The UKRI Future Leader Fellowship scheme supports early-career researchers and innovators from the UK and internationally. The support offered will be long-term (up to 7 years) and flexible (all fields of research), providing salary and justified research, staff and training costs (no budget limits). ZipRecruiter — Post-Graduate Scholarship

ZipRecruiter is an online platform for job seekers and employers. The platform launches its call for the Winter/Spring 2018 Scholarship Promotion. College or university students may submit a small essay about a previous job they’ve held and their ideal post-graduate career for the chance to win a $3 thousand scholarship. Participants must be enrolled as a student at an accredited high school, college or university. Phoenix Zoo — Funding for Wildlife Conservation and Science

The Phoenix Zoo (Arizona, USA) makes small grants to support wildlife conservation and science worldwide. Grants are limited to US$3 thousand for one year. Priority is for practical projects that help build capacity, and that involve local communities. The application period for pre-proposals is 01 November through 01 December each year. Link

 

EuroScience — Mobility Grant to attend the EuroScience Open Forum

The Nature Travel Grant Scheme offers journalists and members of media organisations from around the world the opportunity to attend EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in Toulouse (France) in July 2018. The biennial forum is dedicated to scientific research and innovation from all sectors. The grant offers complimentary registration as well as help covering travel and accommodation costs. The Conservation Fund makes grants for wildlife conservation, research, and education. Applications are accepted from non-profit organizations, government entities, and schools and universities in the USA and other countries. Most grants are under US$50 thousand. Stiftung Artenschutz — Amphibian Conservation Fund 2018

The Amphibian Conservation Fund supports conservation measures for endangered amphibian species and subspecies. The Foundation is interested in both in-situ conservation and conservation-related research, as well as measures to enhance public awareness. Funding recipients may be legally registered non-profit organisations or non-profit promoter contributors, as well as public institutions. Grants are up to €4 thousand for 18 months. British Council — Newton Fund Researcher Links Regional Workshops

Newton Fund Researcher Links Regional Workshops bring together early-career researchers from the UK and other regional partner countries to allow them to make international connections that can improve the quality of their research. The programme intends to tackle global challenges – such as climate and environment, sustainable energy, water and sanitation, rural and urban development, and food safety among others. John Ball Zoological Society — Wildlife Conservation 2018

The John Ball Zoological Society makes grants to conserve wild animals and their habitats; to improve the management of captive animals; and to develop education programs related to these objectives. Most funded projects are in developing countries. The principal investigator can be of any nationality and must be associated with a recognized institution (accredited zoo, academic institution, conservation or non-profit organization). Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation — Scholarships 2018-2019

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers grants to foreign citizens and Italian citizens living abroad for the academic year 2018-2019 in order to foster international cultural, scientific and technological cooperation. Grants are offered to pursue study, training, and/or research programs at Italian Higher Education Institutes. (Note: This may include one or more categories covered by the Terra Viva Grants Directory). Grantees will receive a €900 monthly allowance on a quarterly basis and health insurance. Toyota Motor Corporation — Toyota Environmental Activities Grant Program 2018

Toyota makes grants to support environmental activities implemented by nonprofit organizations. The themes are “biodiversity conservation” and “counter measures to global warming”. Grants are made in Japan and internationally. The international program is open to applicants in Japan, and to international partners in collaboration with Japanese groups.
