iF International Forum Design GmbH — Social Impact Prize
The iF Social Impact Prize aims to publish and support design projects that contribute to solving urgent challenges and help to improve living conditions in the developing world. Solutions should already be established and help to solve well-known issues in any category of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The best projects will share a cash prize of €100 thousand in total. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations, companies, and foundations (student concepts will not be accepted). USAID — Climate Finance
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Climate Finance for Development Accelerator (CFDA) funds climate change mitigation and adaptation activities focused on scaling up the transition to an equitable and resilient net-zero economy. The Accelerator welcomes local partners in the countries in which USAID works to co-create and design initiatives to meet national and local climate goals. Nominations are open for the World Summit Awards (WSA) and the WSA Young Innovators Awards (young social entrepreneurs under 26 years of age). Start-ups and social entrepreneurs are asked to submit their local digital innovations with high social impact. The 8 award categories include one on Environment & Green Energy (climate, sustainable resources, agriculture). The winner does not receive a monetary award but does benefit from partnerships and integrations. Applications are accepted from companies, organizations, or individuals. Enabel — Prize for Women Entrepreneurs
The Awa Prize highlights women entrepreneurs from Belgian development cooperation countries and their projects. The prize aims to promote women entrepreneurs in their local community and strengthen them in their entrepreneurial success. The winner receives €50 thousand in support of their enterprise and one week in Belgium. Participating countries for the 2024 edition: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, DRC, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Palestine, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda. The Startupper Challenge by TotalEnergies supports young African entrepreneurs to innovate and bring their projects to reality in their country of application. Winners will receive financial support to develop their startup or business idea. Business owners of startups under 3 years old with a positive impact on their communities or the planet can participate. The challenge is open to young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified entities to implement the Afghanistan Integrated Youth Activity (AIYA) program. AIYA aims to empower Afghan youth, particularly girls and young women, with market-relevant technical and soft skills to enhance income, food security, and economic resilience.
