The Women for Africa Foundation has launched the 9th Edition of its “Science by Women” program. The program aims to promote African women’s leadership in scientific research and technology transfer and to foster the capacity of the research centers in their home countries. Thematic areas include sustainable agriculture and food security, water, energy and climate change; and several others. Each Spanish Centre of Excellence will host one senior woman researcher for a six-month fellowship. Eligibility to apply extends to women who are nationals of any African country, and who have a PhD, with at least three years of postdoctoral experience. Caribbean Climate Investment Program — Climate Finance for Development
The Caribbean Climate Investment Program (CCIP) seeks applications to mobilize private sector financing for technologies that advance climate mitigation and adaptation goals across the Caribbean region. The primary focus is to catalyze financing for the development of RE and EE technology and deploy climate change adaptation interventions that increase the resiliency of clean energy investments in the region. Asia Foundation — Grants for Environment and Development
The Asia Foundation makes grants in a wide variety of program areas, including the Environment. Thematic interests in the environment include natural resource management and use; water resource management and transboundary water sharing; climate change adaptation and resilience; disaster preparedness and risk reduction; urban environmental issues; and women and the environment. Watson Institute — Education in Social Entrepreneurship
The Watson Institute offers a 16-week program designed for entrepreneurs seeking to elevate their ventures with access to a global network, training designed to strengthen skills, and mentorship with seasoned professionals, venture capitalists, and executives. Fellows can earn up to US$6,000 in seed funding for their venture.
