Earth Journalism Network — Virtual Workshop on Climate Change

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) hosts a five-day virtual workshop for communicators in India reporting on business, industry, energy and environment. Applications are open to communicators working in any medium (online, print, television, radio) from all types of organizations from anywhere in India. Participants who attend all five days of the workshop will also be eligible to apply for a story fellowship following the workshop. Applications have to be submitted by 13 November 2025. Link

Global Water and Climate Adaptation Centre — Future Environmental Leaders Scholarships

The ABCD-Centre invites doctoral students from developing countries to apply for two fully funded nine-month research scholarships at host institutions in Germany focusing on water security, ecosystem resilience, nature-based climate adaptation, urban water extremes, or sustainable building materials. The funding covers a monthly stipend of €1,200, insurance allowance, a travel stipend, and up to €1,000 for research materials. Eligibility requires enrolment in a full-time PhD program at a university in a developing country. Applications must be submitted by 15 November 2025. Future Environmental Leaders Scholarships

Association of Commonwealth Universities — Climate Resilience Fellowships

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) offers Climate Resilience Fellowships for mid-career professionals working in climate adaptation across the public, private, or civil society sectors in Commonwealth Small Island Developing States (SIDS). The fellowship combines an 18-week online course, a five-day in-person residency in Fiji, and a five-month workplace project, providing expert mentoring, peer networking, and access to a global community of practice. All costs—tuition, travel, accommodation, and materials—are fully covered by the fellowship. Eligible applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of an eligible SIDS country. Swiss Climate Research — Climate Summer School

Swiss Climate Research invites early-stage scientists to join climate researchers in southern Switzerland for keynote lectures, workshops, and poster sessions. The 24th International Swiss Climate Summer School focuses on the theme “Climate Variability across Space and Time”. This summer school addresses early-stage researchers from climate and earth system sciences to biodiversity, energy, social, political, and economic sciences. Regional Studies Association — Early-Career Grant

The Regional Studies Association (RSA) covers issues in the fields of climate change, energy, migration, and economic development. RSA makes grants to early-career researchers in support of their regional studies and/or regional science research. Individuals can apply for up to £10 thousand for projects of up to 18 months in duration. Please note that applicants have to be RSA members (non-members may apply and join RSA at the same time). Earth Journalism Network — Climate Media Initiative Seed Grants for Media Outlets

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites media outlets based in Thailand or Indonesia to apply for seed grants of up to €8,000 to launch new reporting programs focused on how business and the private sector are engaging with climate change. Applicants can be newspapers, online media, radio, television, multimedia platforms or social-media channels; proposals must commit to producing at least five stories or episodes and aim for sustained integration into existing media programming. European Space Agency — Living Planet Fellowship 2025

The European Space Agency (ESA) invites young researchers to submit research proposals for the Living Planet Fellowship 2018. Eligible research areas are (1) Advancing Novel Methods and Techniques; and (2) Advancing Earth System Science. ESA will support up to 10 Post-Doctoral researchers to carry out a research project at a Host Institution in an eligible ESA Member State. East-West Center — Asia Pacific Leadership Program 2026

The Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) invites individuals with a demonstrated commitment to promoting peace and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region to apply for a 9-month program of leadership training and professional development on emerging issues. Inter-disciplinary interests at the East-West Center include climate change, land use, water and energy demands, etc., — among other social and environmental themes. TED-Ed — Earth School

Earth School consists of 30 days of nature-focused content for learners of all ages. Each Quest includes videos and a quiz, combined with a series of engaging learning resources curated by environmental experts. Teachers and parents are invited to use these lessons and activities to keep their students and kids engaged and connected to the outside world. Lessons are free and accessible anytime.
