The European Commission seeks to support the economic growth of renewable energy sources as a means of decarbonising local energy systems (e.g. isolated villages, small cities, urban districts, rural areas with weak or non-existing grid connections). The objective of this call is to create a preliminary analysis of the local case as part of the content of the proposal and propose to develop solutions and tools for the optimization of the local energy network, that also have a high replication potential across Europe. Sight and Life invites ideas from students, young professionals and entrepreneurs to provide a planet-friendly disruptive solution to combat malnutrition. Nutritional, climate-friendly and environmental-friendly innovative solutions from a diverse category of products, technologies and services are welcome. An Elevator Pitch Contest will be held at the Micronutrient Forum Global Conference (March 2020). Seven selected finalists will win a round trip and accommodation to Bangkok to present their idea. The European Commission seeks to support South African Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the fight against climate change. Grants are intended for projects focusing on youth participation, gender equality, and capacity building activities for climate change mitigation and adaptation actions.
