The Climate Systems Analysis Group (CSAG) at the University of Cape Town organizes a “winter school” intensive course, with the next one scheduled for five days in July 2019. The course is presented by facilitators from CSAG and other institutions to take participants through the full spectrum of topics related to climate and climate change, with an emphasis on issues in developing countries. European Union — Central European Initiative, Call for Proposals 2019
The CEI makes grants to support its action plan. Cooperation projects are mainly for seminars, workshops, training courses, and other kinds of meetings. Priority themes include climate, environment, sustainable energy, and others. Projects can be submitted by all public and private bodies in CEI’s member states, as well as by international and regional organizations. Preference is for proposals submitted from CEI’s non-EU member states (Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, and Ukraine). Grants are up to €15 thousand. The European Commission aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations in Macedonia. The objective of this call is to empower civil society to actively take part in decision making. One of the priority sectors unter this call is Environment & Climate Change (air pollution, solid waste management, energy efficiency & renewable resources, etc.). Grants requested under this call for proposals must fall between €40 thousand and €80 thousand. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations registered in Macedonia. Forest and Farm Facility — Call for Proposals 2019
The Forest and Farm Facility together with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and AgriCord launched the call for proposals to support regional and global forest and farm producer organizations to enable climate resilient landscapes and improved livelihoods. There will be one grant for a regional organization based in Africa, one in Asia and one in Latin America. U.S. Department of State — YSEALI Academic Fellowship
The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is a program of the U.S. government to support bright young leaders in the ASEAN countries. The YSEALI Academic Fellowship offer support to participate in a five-week institute on the campus of a U.S. university or college in one of the following topics: civil engagement; environmental issues; or social entrepreneurship and economic development. The fellowships include leadership development, an educational study tour, local community service activities, and opportunities to engage with peers in the USA. The Norwegian Human Rights Fund — Land and Environmental Rights
The Norwegian Human Rights Fund (NHRF) invites applications for the Land and Environmental Rights call for proposals. Through this call, NRHF seeks to increase support to human rights organisations working with land rights and environmental rights, including natural resources.The call is open to human rights organisations located and working with land and environmental rights in Indonesia, Mexico and Thailand. RMTI University — Scholarships 2019
The RMTI University offers scholarships for international students undertaking a degree at the University’s College of Science, Engineering and Health. Courses in the Science department include environmental science, food science, biological sciences, among others. Eligible candidates must be citizens of Indonesia, Malaysia or Singapore that achieve a minimum of 70% average in their highest level of education award. The British Embassy, through the Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s programme, invites local and international organisations to submit proposals for projects on British Embassy priorities in Peru. There are four thematic areas, including ‘clean growth’ that relates to reducing the use of plastics and initiatives that contribute to making the Pan American and Parapan American Games carbon neutral.
