USAID aims to combat threats to biodiversity caused by habitat loss and degradation due to deforestation, mining and marine ecosystem degradation, and overexploitation in the Philippines. Therefore, USAID seeks projects and activities to be implemented in areas of biological significance and/or land areas of high climate change mitigation potential. The total estimated budget under this call is US$22 million. USAID intends to make two to three awards. Heineken Africa Foundation — Water, Sanitation, and Health for Africa
The Heineken Africa Foundation funds projects to improve mother/child care, and projects for water, sanitation, and health (WASH). The support extends to projects in Sub-Saharan African countries where Heineken has a local operating presence. For each project a partnership is created between the Foundation, the local Heineken brewery and a local or international NGO. The Foundation provides funding and administrative assistance. Women Environmental Programme — Women for Sustainable Development
Women Environmental Programme calls for applications from interested civil society and community-based organizations for the Women2030 seed-grants in Ghana. Sub-grants are intended to build capacity of women’s and gender civil society organizations to advance local, national and regional gender-responsive sustainable development policies (2030 Agenda & Climate). This may include, but is not limited to, gender specific trainings and monitoring, tracking SDG/climate policies and budgets, social media campaigns, and participatory community activities for gender equality and/or sustainable development. International Fund for Agricultural Development — Results Based Management for Rural Transformation
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) seeks results based management approaches to enhance project management for rural transformation. The selected grant recipient (or consortium) will receive a three-year grant for a total amount of up to US$2 million (cash and in-kind co-financing is required). European Commission — Conservation of Forest Ecosystems in West Africa
The European Commission seeks to enhance climate resilience in Sierra Leone and Guinea. Through this call for proposals the EC invites projects that aim to protect the Outamba-Kilimi National Park (Sierra Leone), Kuru Hills Forest Reserve (Sierra Leone), Pinselli and Soyah Classified Forests (Guinea) and the buffer zones and forest corridors that inter-connect them. EEP Africa — Early Stage Clean Energy Projects
EEP Africa invites innovative project developers to submit applications for early stage clean energy projects in active development phase in Southern and East Africa. Applicants can apply for grants between €200 thousand and €500 thousand (minimum required co-financing is 30%). Eligibility extends to companies, start-ups and social enterprises with early-stage projects from Botswana, Burundi, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. U.S. Mission to Slovenia — NGO Small Grants Program
The US Embassy offers small grants for projects that strengthen ties between the United States and Slovenia. Eligible topics for projects are broadly defined and include energy security, entrepreneurship and business development (including women), youth engagement, and environmental preservation and sustainability. The US Agency for International Development (USAID) supports actions and activities that will strengthen the ability of Jamaica’s energy sector. Service Objects — In-Kind Grants
Service Objects In-Kind Grants provide support to organizations that encourage environmental leadership through the reduction of waste or assist in the aftermath of natural disasters. Organizations working to encourage environmental leadership and conservation are welcome to apply for grants of up to $2,500. Grants are offered to organizations that have 501(c)(3) status within the United States, however, there are no geographical limitations in relation to project implementation. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in the Mediterranean Basin (Albania or North Macedonia)
The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) and the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT) invite Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for small grants (up to €50 thousand) for projects that support the conservation of plants or the sustainable management of water catchments in the wider Prespa area. Eligibility extends to non-governmental organizations, scientific institutions and academic institutions legally registered in Albania or North Macedonia.
