USAID seeks applications from qualified entities to implement the USAID/Uganda Biodiversity For Resilience Activity. The goal is to assist communities, the government, and the private sector to conserve and manage biodiversity for lasting environmental and economic sustainability. USAID intends to provide up to US$15 million, to be allocated over a five-year period. Scottish Government — International Development Small Grants 2020
The Scottish Government’s International Development Small Grants Programme provides project funding in support of the government’s International Development Policy. Applications for grants are invited from incorporated not-for-profit organisations which have a presence in Scotland and an annual turnover of less than £250 thousand. Project grants should focus on any of Malawi, Rwanda, or Zambia in themes of food security; renewable energy; climate change; water; and others. Grants for capacity building and feasibility studies will be accepted in relation to any country designated as medium/low on the UN’s Human Development Index — but with priority for Malawi, Rwanda, and Zambia. Save Our Species (SOS) makes grants for conservation actions on threatened species and their habitats in Central Asia. This Call is accepting proposals targeting the conservation of the Goitered Gazelle (Gazella subgutturosa) and the Snow Leopard (Panthera uncia) and their habitats in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Grants will range from CHF 25 thousand to CHF 200 thousand with a maximum project duration of 18 months. SOS requires matching resources in relation to grant size. The Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) accepts applications from organizations seeking to enhance their community’s ability to prepare for extreme events such as droughts, floods, wildfires, and other consequences of climate change. The program VALUE4HER seeks to increase incomes and employment for women in agribusinesses. This grant scheme is aimed at enabling women’s agribusinesses to try out new ideas and to spur innovations within women-owned agri-businesses. The maximum available grant per agribusiness is €9 thousand. The grant covers up to a maximum of 90% of the total project budget.
