European Commission — Agriculture and Rural Development Kosovo

The European Commission seeks project proposals to support Kosovo’s farmers and agri-rural economic operators to build the capacities that they need in order to become more competitive on the market. All actions under this call shall address the challenges of climate change and promote gender equality. Grant size under this call varies between €100 thousand and €400 thousand. U.S. Agency for International Development — Agriculture and Food-Systems Development Burma

USAID seeks applications to implement the Agriculture and Food-Systems Development Activity in Burma. Projects should focus on increased access to agriculture support services, economic interdependence among market actors of different ethnic backgrounds, smallholder based supply-chains, and women’s empowerment in agribusiness. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation across Multi-Hotspots

The CEPF invites applications for biodiversity conservation among two or more biodiversity hotspots. Proposed projects must address multiple hotspots, including at least one of the following: Cerrado, Eastern Afromontane and Indo-Burma. Grants under this call will range from US$ 20 thousand to US$100 thousand. Eligibility for funding extends to community groups and associations, NGOs, private enterprises, universities, research institutes, and other civil society organizations. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service — Caribbean Regional Program

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provides financial assistance to strategic projects that conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife and plants and their habitats. The Caribbean Regional Program funds projects to reduce the underlying threats to coastal and marine biodiversity, to conserve the coastal and marine flora and fauna, and to maximize conservation impact by developing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders on the local, national, regional and international levels. Funding for individual projects is between US$25 thousand and US$100 thousand. Eligibility for grants extends to non-profit organizations and universities. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service — Conservation in Central Africa

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s aim is to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. For that reason, the USFWS “Wildlife Without Borders” seeks proposals to reduce threats to key wildlife populations in Central Africa from wildlife trafficking, unsustainable resource use, and human-wildlife conflicts. Grants under this call will range from US$30 thousand to US$2 million. Grants are to organizations, institutions of higher education, governments and individuals. The European Commission seeks project proposals to sustainable growth in Asia and Central Asia with the aim to develop of a green economy and foster the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and circular economy. Proposed projects may focus on agri-food processing, renewable energy, sustainable tourism, waste management, and many other sectors. Target countries under this call are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Indonesia, India, Lao PDR, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. U.S. Agency for International Development — Capacity Grants for NGOs in the Caribbean

The USAID/Eastern and Southern Caribbean Local Capacity for Local Solutions (LCLS) project focuses on building the capacity of NGOs in the Eastern and Southern Caribbean region. USAID will award Comprehensive Capacity Grants of US$25 thousand to non-profit organizations with projects in different sectors, one of which is the environment. Eligibility extends to local NGOs from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana,  St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago. Securing Water for Food — Summer Research Project

Securing Water for Food seeks master-level students or master-level graduates to act as field evaluators to conduct in-country, field research with SWFF in Ethiopia, India, Uganda, Bangladesh or South Africa. SWFF is looking for candidates that have the skills and interest in gathering qualitative and quantitative data from farmers and other stakeholders in emerging market economies. Selected applicants will receive a roundtrip airfare to and from the country of destination, a stipend of US$2,500 to cover trip expenses and another US$2,500 payment after submission of final deliverables. European Commission — Fostering Societal Resilience and Protecting the Environment

The European Commission seeks project proposals to support societal resilience, improve emergency and disaster management as a response to climate related, natural and man-made disasters. The aim of this topic is to develop innovative EGNSS applications and to make applications more affordable, easy to use. Proposals may requests a contribution of between €1 and €3 million. International cooperations and legal entities established in EU Member States, Overseas Countries and Territories and Horizon 2020 associated countries (as detailed in the call) are eligible to apply under this call.
