U.S. Department of State — Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowships 2026-2027

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program supports non-degree academic study and related professional experiences in the U.S. for experienced professionals from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Fellows are hosted at universities in the USA. Program fields include agriculture and rural development; natural resources, environmental policy, climate change; and many others. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Implementation Team for the Guinean Forests of West Africa

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) invites expressions of interest from organizations interested in serving as the regional implementation team for the Guinean Forests Biodiversity Hotspot (Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone and Togo). The maximum funding available for the RIT grant is USD 1,5 million. Organizations that submit an expression of interest will be invited to submit full proposals. Posterheroes — International Contest about Social and Environmental Issues

Submissions are open for the Posterheroes contest that calls for posters about social and environmental issues. Posterheroes invites students, professional designers, and everyone who is into graphic design to create a poster. Participants can win a cash prize of up to US$2,500. SustainE — Young Researchers Award

The SustainE Young Researchers Award aims to recognize and reward outstanding research in sustainability by young scholars. The award includes a $1000 prize for the best paper. Eligibility extends to researchers under 40 years with original, unpublished papers on sustainability issues (including environment and energy). The application deadline is 25 August 2025. European Commission — Support for Nature & Biodiversity Projects

The European Commission launches a call for proposals for EU action grants in the fields of Environment under the Programme for Environment and Climate Action (LIFE). The program supports demonstration, best practices, coordination and support actions, capacity building, and governance projects. The LIFE programs aim to facilitate the shift towards a sustainable, renewable energy-based economy; protect, restore, and improve the quality of the environment; halt and reverse biodiversity loss; and tackle the degradation of ecosystems. The project requested grant amount is not more than €60 thousand. In order to be eligible, the applicant must be a legal public or private entity, and be established in an EU Member State or a country associated with the LIFE Program. Government of Canada — Biodiversity Financing

The International Biodiversity Program by halting and reversing biodiversity loss in collaboration with women and Indigenous Peoples. The program focuses on reversing biodiversity loss by addressing its direct drivers beyond climate change—namely, land- and sea-use change, the overexploitation of species, invasive alien species, pollution, and agriculture. Interested applicants can apply for funding through an unsolicited proposal. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis. More information

Food and Agriculture Organization — Drylands Global School

The COFO Working Group Drylands Global School 2025 is a capacity-building program aimed at professionals engaged in dryland management. The 2025 edition will take place in July 2025 in Mongolia, focusing on enhancing governance of dryland forests, rangelands, and agrosilvopastoral systems. While the school itself is free of charge, the participants or their organizations need to cover their travel and accommodation costs. Applicants should have experience in dryland management and must submit an expression of interest. Details

Save Our Seas Foundation — Small Grants 2025

Save Our Seas makes grants for marine research, conservation, and education worldwide. Only projects concerned with marine chondrichthyan species (sharks, rays, skates, sawfishes, and chimaeras) will be considered. Small grants (average about US$5 thousand) are made to early-career scientists for projects of up to 12-18 months. The application deadline is 28 June 2025. SOSF Small Grants

Prince Albert II Foundation — Call for Projects 2025

The Prince Albert II Foundation is dedicated to the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development on a global scale. Currently, the Foundation calls for projects in 4 thematic areas: forest conservation through local and indigenous action; strengthening arctic and antarctic marine protected areas; coastal and marine solutions; and other projects that relate to climate change, biodiversity, or water preservation. Asia Foundation — Grants for Environment and Development

The Asia Foundation makes grants in a wide variety of program areas, including the Environment. Thematic interests in the environment include natural resource management and use; water resource management and transboundary water sharing; climate change adaptation and resilience; disaster preparedness and risk reduction; urban environmental issues; and women and the environment.
