The Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at students from low- and middle-income countries who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK. Climate Investment Funds — Youth Fellowship
The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) supports young climate professionals with a career-focused fellowship program. The CIF Youth Fellowship is a professional capacity-building program focused on providing hands-on experience to young leaders in global climate action. CIF Youth Fellows will work with Multilateral Development Banks on real-world projects in areas related to nature-based solutions, clean energy, adaptation and climate resilience, energy access, and gender and social inclusion. South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics — Environmental and Resource Economics in South Asia
SANDEE invites research concept notes in any area of environmental and resource economics relating to the development of South Asia and the Hindu Kush Himalaya, including environmental issues faced by people living in the plains, hills, and mountains. Examples of research previously supported by SANDEE include renewable energy subsidies that target the poor; analysis of possible payments to farmers for ecosystem services; and research on the economics of climate change. Alexander von Humboldt Foundation — Residency Program
The Humboldt Residency Program offers participants the opportunity to cooperate on a common topic, generate new ideas, and communicate them to a broad audience. The topic for 2025 is “The Future of Food”. During the six-week residency in Brandenburg/Berlin, participants meet daily in shared working spaces and have the unique opportunity of extensive time and freedom to gain an in-depth understanding of each other’s work. Funding for participation in the Humboldt Residency Program includes a monthly allowance, travel allowance, accommodation, and a budget for arranging public event formats. Climate & Care Initiative — Climate Fund
The Climate & Care Initiative seeks innovative practices that connect climate and care to promote equitable and sustainable development and a just transition. The fund supports those at the forefront of climate and care work to help organizations and initiatives develop evidence on the importance of integrating these critical areas. The Climate & Care Initiative provides up to US$50 thousand per project for innovative practices in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa. With funding from the UK’s Department for International Development, the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are available to citizens of Commonwealth countries for master’s studies at UK universities, usually for one year. The participating academic programs include several subject areas such as environmental science and management, agroforestry, livestock management, remote sensing, disaster management, wetlands science, etc. The CSC lists the participating universities and their eligible courses. Cisco and Global Citizen invites applications for the Global Citizen Prize: Cisco Youth Leadership Award. The Award is made to a young individual (18-30 years) who has contributed meaningfully towards the goal of ending global poverty. Global Citizen accepts applications from individuals who have, or contribute to, a registered legal entity such as a non-profit, for-profit, or social enterprise.
