The EnAccess Foundation funds Innovation Pilot projects and Moonshot concepts focusing on providing energy access. EnAccess provides up to US$250 thousand for projects that are ready to be built and prototyped (e.g., hardware, software, business models) and US$50 thousand for ambitious research ideas in the conceptual stage (e.g., analysis and modeling). Africa Fellowship for Young Energy Leaders — Applications
Africa Energy Fellowship for Young Energy Leaders (AFYEL) is a capacitation program for early-career energy leaders working on sustainable access to energy and ultimately a zero-carbon Africa. The fellowship includes expert training sessions to enable participants to get empowered and gain clarity to create solutions in the area. The IFF Global Green Finance Award seeks innovative green finance solutions worldwide. The award targets applicants who offer green financial solutions that promote the transformation of economic growth modes, contribute to pollution prevention, and control and address climate change, as well as improve energy efficiency, energy conservation, and emission reductions. East-West Center — Asia Pacific Leadership Program 2025
The Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) invites individuals with a demonstrated commitment to promoting peace and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region to apply for a 9-month program of leadership training and professional development on emerging issues. Inter-disciplinary interests at the East-West Center include climate change, land use, water and energy demands, etc., — among other social and environmental themes. United People Global — Leadership Training Program
The United People Global (UPG) Sustainability Leadership training program offers young leaders from all over the world the opportunity to participate in an immersive 1-week experience on an island in the USA. UPG seeks young people (18-35 years) who want to take positive action that helps the world tackle a sustainability challenge to achieve any of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 500 young leaders will be selected to participate in an online program and receive a certification after successful completion of the online training. 60 participants will have the chance to attend the complimentary 1-week training in the USA (all costs of the program will be covered). Earth School consists of 30 days of nature-focused content for learners of all ages. Each Quest includes videos and a quiz, combined with a series of engaging learning resources curated by environmental experts. Teachers and parents are invited to use these lessons and activities to keep their students and kids engaged and connected to the outside world. Lessons are free and accessible anytime. United States Agency for International Development — Unsolicited Solutions for Locally Led Development
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) supports sustainable and locally driven ideas from organizations of all types and sizes around the world. USAID supports locally driven activities through awards of up to US$2 million. Eisenhower Fellowships — Global Fellowship Program
Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) empower innovative leaders through a transformative fellowship experience in a global network of dynamic change agents committed to creating a more peaceful world. Fellows will be invited to the United States for a six-week program with both in-person and virtual components, where they will develop a project, and collaborate with their American counterparts. Fellows range between 32 and 45 years of age at the time of fellowship and must be highly proficient in English. The Startupbootcamp Energy and Sustainability Accelerator provides access to funding, supporting the development of innovative solutions in climate change, resource conservation, and renewable energy. The accelerator supports startups developing solutions with the potential to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges in energy and sustainability. Participants have access to a 3-month in-person accelerator designed to enable growth at speed, and US$50 thousand cash investment per startup to cover expenses during the program, plus US$50 thousand in-kind services. The SustainE Young Researchers Award aims to recognize and reward outstanding research in sustainability by young scholars. The award includes a $1000 prize for the best paper.
