United Nations — Strategic Needs Fellowship

The Strategic Needs Fellowship aims to enable the most vulnerable States, particularly least developed countries, small island developing States and landlocked developing countries, to better address strategically important and time-sensitive issues facing them in ocean affairs and the law of the sea. The Fellowship consists of a four-month training program at the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea at the United Nations Headquarters in New York (USA). States are invited to nominate Government officials with limited background in ocean affairs and the law of the sea, who are filling key positions in their Administration for the position. U. S. Government — Fellows Program for Young Women in Agribusiness

The Advancing Young Women Professional Fellows Program offers capacity-building in agro-entrepreneurship and agri-food system innovation and advances their ability to support women’s economic empowerment. The U.S. program will include a four-week professional internship in Michigan. The program is open to young female agribusiness entrepreneurs working in Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia, or Zimbabwe. Doc Society — Climate Story Fund

The Doc Society supports stories and impact campaigns from around the world that move humankind closer to a climate just and biodiverse future. The Climate Story Fund will support 6-8 projects with grants ranging from US$50 thousand to US$100 thousand per project. The fund is open to all mediums and will support both production and impact campaigns. Projects may come from all over the world (including localized stories serving local communities) and can be submitted by both new and established artists. IntelliDigest — Global AgriFood TechPreneur

The Global AgriFood TechPreneur Program is a 12 months food system sustainability business development program for young graduates who wish to transform the food system, end hunger, malnutrition, obesity and food waste. Graduates are invited to submit an application about a food system challenge in their country and their solution to addressing it. Convention on Biological Diversity — Bio-Bridge Initiative

The Bio-Bridge Initiative (BBI) provides seed funding of up to C$20 thousand to incubate projects and partnerships that promote exemplary approaches to address biodiversity-related issues and challenges. Governmental agencies, research and academic institutions, non-governmental organizations, Indigenous Peoples and local communities in developing countries are eligible to apply. IWW Zentrum Wasser — Mülheim Water Award

The Mülheim Water Award honors practice-oriented research and development projects as well as the implementation of innovative concepts for a secure drinking water supply and water analysis. People or institutions from Europe (geographically defined, not politically) can apply with innovative procedures, products, concepts and new findings with a strong focus on practical use and application within water management. AgFunder — Foodtech and Agtech Accelerator

The GROW Impact Accelerator Program is a five-month accelerator for startups operating in new frontiers of foodtech and agtech. The program is designed for international startups looking to expand into Asia, and for regional startups to launch on the global stage. Singapore International Foundation — Young Social Entrepreneurs

Young Social Entrepreneurs (YSE) Global is an eight-month program for young changemakers who wish to start or scale up their social enterprises in Singapore and beyond. Participants have access to online workshops, remote mentorship, regional learning and pitching sessions. Shortlisted teams have the chance to win S$20 thousand in funding to launch or scale their social enterprise. Eligibility extends to individuals aged between 18 to 35 years, with a viable and innovative business solution to a social issue anywhere in the world. University of Rhode Island — Science Immersion Workshop for Journalists

The University of Rhode Island’s Metcalf Institute for Marine & Environmental Reporting accepts applications for its annual Science Immersion Workshop for Journalists. The workshop provides journalists with access to leading scientists and policymakers and a chance to gain a deeper understanding of science-based stories on natural, social, and engineering research guiding an equitable transition to clean energy. The fellowship is designed for early- to mid-career, full-time journalists worldwide. The 2024 annual workshop will explore the clean energy transition. The application deadline is 12 February 2024. The World Bank invites youth aquapreneurs (age 18-35) to apply to the Youth Innovation Challenge: Water Solutions for a New Climate Reality.
