The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in the Maldives. CFLI provides funding to projects that implement environment and climate action projects focusing on adaptation and mitigation, water and plastic waste management, and other thematic priorities. The average CFLI contribution is C$30 thousand to C$50 thousand. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit local, national or community-based organizations. Earth Journalism Network — Media Grants Marine Conservation
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers media grants to support in-depth and enterprise reporting projects, initiatives to train journalists and other activities designed to increase media coverage and the capacity of journalists to report on 30×30 marine conservation targets. Newsrooms and media organizations in coastal countries are eligible to apply. EJN anticipates supporting two organizations with grants of US$10 thousand each. U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration — Coral Reef Stewardship Fund
The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) awards grants to improve the health of coral reef systems. Grants will be awarded to reduce land-based sources of pollution, advance coral reef fisheries management, increase capacity for reef-scale restoration, and support management in their efforts to increase the natural recovery and resiliency of coral reef systems. Priority is given to U.S. coral jurisdictions (American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Florida, Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands). Priority will be given to projects that conduct applicable land-based and in-water conservation activities. NFWF welcomes applications from all persons and organizations (except U.S. federal agencies and for-profit entities) within and outside the USA. Most grants range from US$80 thousand to US$600 thousand for international projects of up to 24 months. Projects should be 6 months to 3 years in duration. International Water Association — Researcher Awards 2025
The International Water Association calls for nominations for the Ardern-Lockett Award and the IWA MEWE Early- and Mid-Career Researcher Awards. The Ardern-Lockett award recognizes outstanding contributions to research and practice in the field of Microbial Ecology and Water Engineering. The MEWE Early- and Mid-Career Award recognize accomplishments of a mid-career professional in the field of Microbial Ecology and Water Engineering. Snow Leopard Network — Training Grant
The Snow Leopard Network invited applications for the Snow Leopard Training Grant which is designed to further strengthen snow leopard conservation and research. The scope of the capacity projects to be funded includes training workshops, protected area management, conservation education, women conservation leadership training, and wildlife population monitoring. Awards range from US$1,000 to US$1,500. The grant is open to researchers, practitioners, and organizations working to support snow leopard conservation. Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen — Networking Civil Societies
The Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) promotes tandem cooperation between civil society organizations from Germany and partner countries (listed in the announcement). CCP Synergy is aimed at employees from two organizations who are planning a joint initiative. The purpose of such a collaboration could be, for example, the planning and implementation of joint events, fact-finding missions, research, or artistic undertakings in the fields of sustainable development or climate justice. Halcyon — Climate Fellowship
The Halcyon Climate Fellowship helps founders and entrepreneurs to address climate challenges through renewable energy, green building, agriculture, watertech, and blue economy solutions. Fellows receive expert training in Washington, DC, and critical resources to accelerate their venture. Fellows accepted into this program will receive US$10 thousand equity-free living stipend per venture. European Marine Board — Ocean Artwork
The EMBracing the Ocean program provides grants of €10 thousand to individuals or groups to create artwork in collaboration with Ocean scientists. Bayer Foundation — Women Empowerment Award
The Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award (WEA) recognizes women pioneering in health, nutrition, and related climate-smart solutions. Fifteen female entrepreneurs will get the chance to join the 6-month Accelerator Program and receive €25 thousand in support of their business. To qualify, applicants must center their solutions around health or food security related challenges. The Turkish Government offers scholarships to international students. The government-funded scholarship program is awarded to students who pursue full-time or short-term programs at universities in Turkey.
