The Vienna Biocenter Summer School provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to work side by side with leading researchers in a dynamic scientific environment. Each fellow will be allocated a faculty member, with whom they will work closely. The research project will focus on a current topic in the allocated lab. Selected fellows receive free student accommodation, a stipend of €1400 euros, medical insurance and other benefits. The Vienna Biocenter welcomes applications from students from all around the world who are undergraduates/master students, and have completed at least two years of university study in a Life Sciences related study. Rise — Global Talent Program
Rise is a global talent program for young people (ages 15 to 17) from around the world. Each year, Rise will select 100 winners and provide them with need-based financial support for university and internships, mentorship and career services, and access to funding to scale up their social impact throughout their careers. The program is open to any type of young talents, including environmentalists, musicians, artists, performers, product developers, software engineers, researchers, or social or political movement leaders. The Climate Change Warriors Program offers training, networking opportunities and funding to creative minds that fight climate change. The 4-months program provides intensive training and personal development opportunities. Participants can get up to €120 thousand convertible investment. Deloitte offers One Young World Scholarships which will enable 5 outstanding young leaders to attend the One Young World Summit in Montreal, Canada (September 2024). The scholarship is intended for young leaders focused on reducing the causes and effects of climate change in their communities, countries, or world at large. Scholars will receive access to the One Young World Summit 2024, hotel accommodation, the cost of travel to and from Montreal, and catering. The Open Doors Fellowship Program (ODFP) targets post-doctoral and mid-career women researchers conducting agricultural research in Africa. Fellows receive financial incentives to enhance their scientific visibility and a research stay in Belgium. Applicants’ research fields must be plant breeding, agrobiotechnology, molecular biology and genetics, microbiology, chemical ecology, plant & soil health, livestock or aquaculture.
