Graduate students will undertake their research as part of a large reforestation project working with communities to restore degraded landscapes in the Philippines. The Africa Platform of Ghent University Association (GAP) welcomes applications for visiting fellows to facilitate and foster academic collaboration between Ghent University Association and academic institutions in Africa. Awardees will spend a minimum period of two weeks at Ghent University or one of the associated University Colleges. The fellowship consists of a grant of €1000, plus one return flight ticket, for a minimum stay of two weeks. The fellowships are aimed at researchers (junior or senior lecturers & professors) who are affiliated with an African higher education or research institution. Agora Energiewende — Climate and Energy Transformation
Agora Energiewende invites applications for the EnerTracks Fellowship Program. Up to eight fellows will be invited to come to Berlin (Germany) while each fellow continues working part-time for their home institution. The fellowship offers multi-disciplinary sessions covering a variety of topics such as energy markets, power system flexibility, and research methodologies, among others. Applicants must be nationals of an Official Development Aid country and be currently employed or affiliated to a think tank or other civil society organization and/or an academic body. Fellows receive a travel grant covering half of the costs of participants’ international travel expenses, accommodation in Berlin, and a modest daily stipend. The Flywire Charitable Foundation aims to improve equality, access and affordability for underrepresented individuals and communities. For the 2023 academic year, sixteen scholarships of US$5,000 each will be awarded. The Environmental Sustainability scholarship recognizes students who work to protect the environment and pioneer sustainability initiatives. United Nations University — Research Fellowship in Biotechnology
United Nations University accepts applications for the Biotechnology Fellowship Program to build biotechnology capacities within Latin America and the Caribbean region. Each UNU-BIOLAC fellow is expected to perform specialized research at a laboratory in the LAC region for no more than three months. To perform their research fellowship, each funded fellow will receive a single stipend of US$4000 for travel and living expenses. The Indigenous Youth Fellowship Project supports young Indigenous leaders between the ages of 17-28. Fellows work to represent the voices of their communities and bring awareness of local issues in the transition to renewable energy to global conversation. Grants range from US$2,500 to US$6,000. The Next Generation Foresight Awards Fellowship is available to individuals who are advocating for foresight thinking and change in their community. Each fellow receives US$1,000 to develop their project. By the end of their one-year fellowship, all fellows have the chance to run for a more substantial grant of at least US$10 thousand. The French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Program offers 40 fellowship positions. The call is open to all disciplines in social sciences and the humanities and all research fields. The fellowship covers a living allowance of €2,700 per month, accommodation or support for relocation, an individual research and training budget equivalent to €2,500 per year, and travel expenses. Researchers from all countries are eligible but they have to have spent no more than 12 months in France during the three years prior to the application deadline.
