The Wilson Center announces a call for applications for the “Agents of Change Youth Fellowship,” a professional fellowship program for emerging leaders seeking meaningful careers at the intersection of climate change and security. The 2025 cohort will have a focus on water. The program is open to applicants from countries in the MENA region with a minimum of 5 years of work experience. World Academy of Sciences — TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowships in India
India’s Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) offers postdoctoral fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (other than India) to pursue postdoctoral research at CSIR’s laboratories and institutes. The duration of the fellowships is six to twelve months. Subject areas range across the physical and natural sciences, including agricultural sciences. The Delft University of Technology offers the African Water Corridor Scholarship for two Sub-Saharan African students in the Master’s program Environmental Engineering, track Water Resources Engineering. The scholarship comprises full tuition fees for this 2-year TU Delft CEG Master program based on the statutory fee or institutional rate and contribution for the living expenses. Vienna Biocenter — Summer School
The Vienna Biocenter Summer School provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to work side by side with leading researchers in a dynamic scientific environment. Each fellow will be allocated a faculty member, with whom they will work closely. The research project will focus on a current topic in the allocated lab. Selected fellows receive free student accommodation, a stipend of €1400 euros, medical insurance, and other benefits. Heinrich Böll Foundation — University Studies in Germany 2025
The Heinrich Böll Foundation annually funds graduate and doctoral students across all subjects and nationalities for university studies in Germany. Preference is for applicants working in the subject areas of the Foundation such as climate and energy, resource governance, and ecology and green development (among others). The special focus regions for international students are Central and Eastern Europe; EU neighborhood countries and the CIS; the Middle East and North Africa; transition and newly industrialized countries; and conflict regions worldwide. CatchLight — Global Fellowship
The CatchLight Global Fellowship awards visual storytellers who ignite social change through their photography, videography or leadership by leveraging the power of visuals. Proposals should employ and strengthen new methods and potential solutions with an eye towards community activations and sustainability. Climate Investment Funds — Youth Fellowship
The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) supports young climate professionals with a career-focused fellowship program. The CIF Youth Fellowship is a professional capacity-building program focused on providing hands-on experience to young leaders in global climate action. CIF Youth Fellows will work with Multilateral Development Banks on real-world projects in areas related to nature-based solutions, clean energy, adaptation and climate resilience, energy access, and gender and social inclusion. Ashinaga Africa Initiative — University Scholarship for Orphans
The Ashinaga Africa Initiative provides full scholarships to orphaned students from Sub-Saharan Africa to study at a university abroad. Ashinaga will cover tuition, accommodation, travel costs, and other necessary fees. The age limit to apply for this scholarship is 23 years. Students must be committed to returning home and contributing to society in Sub-Saharan Africa after graduating from university.
