Institute of International Education — Ocean Futures Fellowship

The Institute of International Education and OceanX invite applications for the Ocean Futures Fellowship to support the next generation of professionals addressing global ocean challenges. This six-month, full-time remote program is open to individuals at least 21 years old who hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have full professional proficiency in English. Fellows can apply for one of six specialized roles: AI, digital correspondence, digital asset archives, immersive media, marketing and communications, or partnerships. Participants receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the fellowship and may have the opportunity to travel aboard the OceanXplorer vessel. The deadline for applications is 03 May 2026. UNESCO — Fellowships in Archaeology and Conservation

UNESCO invites applications for a nine-month fellowship at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. This program provides an archaeological internship focused on multidisciplinary methods and conservation practices for seven selected professionals. Eligible candidates must be no more than 40 years old, hold a Bachelor of Arts or Master of Arts degree in archaeology or conservation, and be a national of one of the invited Member States across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The fellowship includes international travel costs, health insurance, and a monthly allowance of PLN 1,800 for Bachelor’s degree holders or PLN 2,200 for Master’s degree holders. Association of Commonwealth Universities — Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) supports the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. The scholarships fund cultural and academic exchanges and are awarded across many subjects, including climate resilience and life sciences. Eligibility extends to citizens of (or with refugee status in) a Commonwealth country other than the country hosting the award. Scholarships cover tuition fees, living expenses (stipend) for the duration of the award, return economy flight, one-off arrival allowance, and research support grant (on request). Finnish Government — Recruiting Foreign Doctoral Students

The EDUFI Fellowship provides initial funding to carry out research for a doctoral thesis in Finland. Researchers or Teachers in Finnish university departments, who wish to recruit a doctoral student or a young researcher from outside Finland, can apply on behalf of the foreign student. The fellowship grant is intended for post-graduate studies as well as research and teaching cooperation in Finnish universities and covers the living costs of the fellow. European Space Agency — African Research Fellowships 2026

The European Space Agency (ESA) invites applications for its African Research Fellowships to support the next generation of African Earth observation scientists. The program offers four one-year fellowships at the ESA-ESRIN center in Frascati, Italy, starting in October 2026. Applicants must be African nationals holding a PhD or a master’s degree with significant research experience in satellite remote sensing or a related field. L’Oréal-UNESCO — Women in Science Sub-Saharan Africa

The Fondation L’Oréal and UNESCO invite applications for the For Women in Science Sub-Saharan Africa Programme to support young women researchers across the region. This program is open to female PhD students and post-doctoral researchers who are citizens of one of the 49 Sub-Saharan African countries and are conducting research there. Eligible fields include formal and life sciences, environmental and physical sciences, and engineering and technological sciences. The program will award 30 grants of €10 thousand to doctoral students and eight grants of €15 thousand to post-doctoral researchers, alongside leadership and communication training. Morris Animal Foundation — Veterinary Student Scholar Program

The Morris Animal Foundation supports research on animal health and welfare, including wildlife/exotics. The Foundation provides veterinary students with the opportunity to become involved in mentored research that advances the health and/or welfare of companion animals and wildlife exotics. The Veterinary Student Scholars program awards stipends up to US$5 thousand to veterinary students. The program is open to currently enrolled veterinary students from all around the world. Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research — Visiting Scholar

The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) provides visiting scholarships to mid- to late-career stage scientists and academics involved in Antarctic research. Scholars can undertake short-term visits (up to 4 weeks) to an institute in another SCAR member country, to provide training and mentoring. United Nations University — MSc in Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security

The United Nations University (UNU) and the University of Bonn welcome applicants for the international joint MSc program, “Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security.” The ideal candidate has a strong interest or experience in human-nature relations and risk governance in the Global South. Women and applicants from developing countries are strongly encouraged to apply. LGT Venture Philanthropy — Impact Fellowship

LGT Venture Philanthropy invites applications for its Impact Fellowship, a program designed to match business professionals with non-profit organizations and social enterprises to strengthen their organizational capacity. Eligible applicants must hold an undergraduate degree and possess at least two years of full-time professional experience in fields such as finance, marketing, operations, or data analytics. Fellows commit to a 12-month full-time engagement on the ground with portfolio companies located in Africa, India, Latin America, and Europe. While the program requires a commitment to financial sacrifice, it provides a local salary to cover living costs, along with flight and insurance reimbursements.
