Australian APEC Study Centre — Women in Research 2018

The Australia – APEC Women in Research Fellowship supports female researchers from developing APEC economies to work in collaboration with partners at Australian institutions. Past fellows include several in subjects such as water resources, climate change, marine microbiology, and others related to environment. The program is open to female citizens and permanent residents in the following countries: Chile, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam. United Nations University — Climate Fellowship Programme

The UNFCCC–UNU Early Career Climate Fellowship Programme offers young people from developing countries the opportunity to start their career at the interface between international climate policy development and research. Fellowships may last from six months to two years. Climate Fellows will be able to work in their home countries or internationally, deploying the valuable experience and insights they have gained during the programme. Applicants must be enrolled in their final term or have recently graduated from an advanced university degree programme in environment, climate change, communications, international relations or a related field. Qualified women candidates and candidates from least developed countries are especially encouraged to apply. Applications are accepted two times a year. International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology — PhD Scholarships 2018

In partnership with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), icipe announces research scholarships in the African Regional Postgraduate Programme in Insect Sciences (ARPPIS). The program supports three-year doctoral research studies to prepare young researchers in Sub-Saharan Africa for internationally competitive research careers in insect and related sciences. Qualified female candidates, candidates from less privileged regions or groups, and candidates with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply. Qualified nationals of French- and Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa are also especially encouraged to apply. RUFORUM and DAAD — Doctoral Studies in Agriculture and Food Science for Africans

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) announces PhD scholarships available through the German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD) for doctoral studies at three universities in Eastern and Central Africa. They are the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Sciences and Technology (Tanzania); Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Kenya); and Makerere University (Uganda). Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture — Agricultural Scholarships for Africans

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) is partnering with the MasterCard Foundation to implement the programme “Transforming African Agricultural Universities to meaningfully contribute to Africa’s growth and development”. For the academic year 2018, 45 Bachelor and 15 Master scholarships are available of which 70% will be for Kenya and Uganda nationals. The aim is to transform African agricultural universities and their graduates to better respond to developmental challenges through enhanced application of science, technology, business and innovation for rural agricultural transformation. Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey — Research Fellowships 2018

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) awards research fellowships to international highly qualified PhD students and young postdoctoral researchers. Applicants should be non-Turkish citizens who are age 35 or younger. Preference is for candidates who have the potential to contribute to Turkey’s international cooperation in scientific and technological development. RUFORUM — Post-Doctoral Fellowships 2018

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) invites applications from former RUFORUM-Carnegie supported doctoral alumni for a 2 year post-doctoral fellowships to be based at a university in Africa. Applications from candidates who have submitted their theses for external examination will also be considered. The maximum award for this call is US$60 thousand per fellowship. European Space Agency — Living Planet Fellowship 2018

The European Space Agency (ESA) invites young researchers to submit research proposals for the Living Planet Fellowship 2018. Eligible research areas are (1) Advancing Novel Methods and Techniques; and (2) Advancing Earth System Science. ESA will support up to 10 Post-Doctoral researchers to carry out a research project at a Host Institution in an eligible ESA Member State. The IUSSTF invites Indian Women Scientists, Engineers & Technologists to apply for the “Indo-U.S. Fellowship for Women in STEMM” to undertake international collaborative research in the USA.
