SEED — Replicator Workshop for Eco-Enterprises

The SEED Replicator program offers incubation workshops to identify opportunities for enterprise creation and to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners looking for partnerships to build an eco-inclusive business model. Successful alumni can apply for a SEED Grant which pays for your immediate necessary activities, measures or machinery required to establish the new enterprise. SEED Replicator Program currently invites applications from entrepreneurs in India. Participation is free, although participants need to cover their transportation costs and accommodation. United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — Environmental Photographer of the Year

The Environmental Photographer of the Year competition showcases the most inspirational environmental photography from around the world. One award of £10 thousand will be granted to a single image that furthers people’s understanding of the causes and effects of environmental change and social inequality, or highlights solutions to the climate and ecological emergency. Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education — Orange Knowledge Program

The Orange Knowledge Program (OKP) makes scholarships to mid-career professionals from selected developing countries for short courses (duration 2 weeks to 12 months) and master’s programs (duration 12-24 months). Eligible countries as well as eligible courses are listed in the announcement. Interested applicants need to first select a course and then contact the education institution of the course and ask how to apply for the scholarship. The application deadline is 05 September 2023. Reversing Environmental Degradation in Africa and Asia — Project Grants

REDAA invites proposals for locally led initiatives to improve evidence, tools, and governance that can help people and nature thrive together in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Successful proposals will receive medium-scale grants between £200 thousand and £500 thousand for research-to-action initiatives lasting two to four years. Applications close 31 July 2023. University of the Sunshine Coast — PhD Scholarships in Tropical Forest Restoration

The University of the Sunshine Coast offers five PhD scholarships for projects related to restoration of degraded tropical forest landscapes. Graduate students will undertake their research as part of a large reforestation project working with communities to restore degraded landscapes in the Philippines. Applicants must be based in Australia or willing to relocate to Australia. The scholarship includes a monthly salary, tuition of 3 years and an allowance for relocation. Technische Universität Dresden — Forest Governance Scholarship for PhD

The Department of Forest Sciences at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences offers a Forest Governance Scholarship for PhD dedicated to research in the field of “Forest Farmers’ Organizations in timber value chains: Financial performance, power, and governance”. United Nations Environment Programme — Pilot Cities for Urban Ecosystem Restoration

The United Nations Environment Program seeks cities interested in starting or scaling up ecosystem restoration efforts. The program will support eight pilot cities with grants of US$ 50 thousand to US$100 thousand to develop innovative policy approaches, and initiate implementation of urban ecosystem restoration and nature-based solutions implementation. International Union of Forest Research Organizations — Short Scientific Visits

The International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) offers a limited number of grants of up to €5 thousand for short scientific visits to early-career scientists who reside in an economically disadvantaged country to visit a forest research organization overseas. The duration of the scientific visit should be agreed between the applicant and host organization and last approximately three months. ProposalsforNGOs, an initiative by FundsforNGOs, invites applications for the “Small Grant Competition” aimed at NGOs around the world. The contest aims to help grassroots NGOs to develop a project idea to reality by submitting a one-page concept note. The winner will be awarded US$1000. Belmont Forum — Climate, Environment, and Health

The Belmont Forum welcomes transdisciplinary proposals that address the nexus of Climate, Environment, and Health. Proposals to the Belmont Forum must address one of the following four themes: Decision-science of environmental behavior and implementation; Food, Environment, and Biological Security; Climate Risks to Ecosystems & Populations.
