The Marine Turtle Conservation Fund (MTCA) accepts proposals for the conservation of priority nesting populations of six of the seven species of marine turtles (Chelonia mydas, Caretta caretta, Dermochelys coriacea, Eretmochelys imbricata, Lepidochelys olivacea, Lepidochelys kempii) throughout their range worldwide. The fund provides financial support for projects that conserve nesting populations and habitat and address other threats to the survival of marine turtles in range countries. Applicants may request between US$25 to US$200 thousand. Applicants can be individuals; government agencies; non-profit organizations; for-profit organizations; or universities. The Air Quality Hackathon is a brainstorming event to find practical solutions for improving air quality. Results and solutions will be shared and implemented during a follow-on campaign with school communities and NGO partners. The applicants will conduct a survey to measure the impact of the intervention program after the project is over. The maximum funding amount is US$60 thousand. Embassy of Slovak Republic in Tbilisi — Small Grants for Projects in Georgia
SlovakAid supports small-scale projects in various sectors, including food and agriculture, and the sustainable use of natural resources in developing countries. The current call supports local projects in Georgia in accordance with the strategy of the Slovak Republic for development cooperation. African World Heritage Fund — Grants for World Heritage Conservation
The African World Heritage Fund (AWHF) provides grants to implement projects and activities which focus on improving the state of conservation of World Heritage properties located in Africa. Project activities are restricted to African government institutions involved in the management and protection of World Heritage sites, both cultural and natural, as defined by UNESCO. The grant will cover direct costs related to project activities. Applicants can apply for up to US$10 thousand in project funding. Projects must be implemented within 12 months. The U. S. Agency for International Development in Vietnam (USAID) seeks applications from qualified entities to implement the “USAID Reducing Pollution” activity. The overall objective of this activity is to reduce environmental pollution in targeted areas through a collective impact approach. Initiative for Climate Action Transparency — Support for Climate Action
The Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT) aims to help countries better assess the impacts of their climate policies and actions. ICAT delivers hands-on support via short, agile projects to governments and provides tailored support to develop effective transparency systems. Country support is delivered through focused and time-bound (12 to 18 months) projects with resources provided for work by national experts or expert institutions, training activities, stakeholder workshops and international expert advice. LEAP-RE — Joint Europe-Africa Call on Renewable Energy
The Long-term Europe-Africa Partnership on Renewable Energy (LEAP-RE) program aims to increase the use of renewable energy via research, demonstration, and technology transfer projects in both continents. LEAP-RE funds joint basic research, applied research and experimental development projects with a duration of 12-36 months. The call for proposals is aimed at actors in the renewable energy value chain (including universities, research institutes, companies, private sector, NGOs and public authorities). Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA) makes small grants for the technical assessment of protected conservation areas. Small Technical Grants for Assessment (STGA) aim to identify result-oriented priority actions for improved protected and conserved areas management and governance. The maximum amount is €20 thousand per assessment. Assessments must take place in priority areas such as key landscapes for conservation, key biodiversity areas, marine managed areas or other protected and conserved areas in Africa, the Caribbean and the Asia-Pacific region. Nordic Council of Ministers — Arctic Cooperation Program
The Arctic Cooperation Program aims to create sustainable and constructive development in the Arctic. The Nordic Council of Ministers will financially contribute to several sustainable development projects in the Arctic region. As a general rule, three Nordic countries must be involved in a co-operation project. A partnership can be supplemented with one or more other Arctic states (USA, Canada and Russia), but the lead applicant has to be from a Nordic country.
