The Office of Forestry and Biodiversity in USAID’s Bureau for Economic Growth, Education and Environment seeks transformational solutions to cross-sectoral development challenges in biodiverse landscapes. UNESCO — World Heritage Volunteers 2020
The UNESCO World Heritage Centre invites applications for the World Heritage Volunteers (WHV) Campaign 2020. The aim of the call is to encourage young people to undertake concrete actions and to play an active role in the protection, preservation and promotion of World Heritage sites. Projects should be organised in immediate connection to a property inscribed on the World Heritage List or a site inscribed on a Tentative List. Both public or private organisations or institutions from any country are eligible to apply. The European Commission invites applications for the Ocean-Monitoring call to support the development of ocean energy. U.S. National Academy of Sciences — Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research, Cycle 9
PEER invites scientists in developing countries to work with U.S. collaborators in research and capacity building on priority topics that include environmental contaminants, agricultural productivity and food security, biodiversity conservation, water security, low-carbon development, fisheries assessments, and others. The priorities are different for each PEER focus area (i.e., varying by regions and countries). Projects are anticipated to run for one to three years. Awards involving support for only one institution (single institution awards) range from US$40-80 thousand per year. Awards involving support for more than one institution (multiple institution awards) may receive up to US$100 thousand per year. Applicants must be based at academic institutions, non-profit organizations, or government-managed research laboratories, centers, or institutes in the eligible countries. Interreg Baltic Sea Region provides seed money to support the preparation of projects in line with the Action Plan of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR). Karelia CBC is a cross-border cooperation program between the European Union and Russia. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) makes small grants for pilot and demonstration activities (PDAs) to test and validate approaches to improve water resources management. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency, the SDG Partnership facility (SDGP), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aim to help achieve the following sustainable development goals in developing countries.
