The objective of this call is to promote social and economic development in Palestine to a more sustainable economic development towards a green economy. This call will support projects that focus on agriculture growth and profitability by provision of adequate sustainable means for better access to and utilisation of land and water. Grants requested for this purpose must fall between the amounts of € 1,9 million and € 3,8 million. Eligibility extends to non-governmental organisations, public sector operators, local authorities, and international (inter-governmental) organisations established in a Member State of the European Union or in Palestine. Interreg Baltic Sea Region — Project Platform Calls
Interreg Baltic Sea Region financially supports frameworks for cooperation of core partners of projects funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region. Project platforms must be in line with the thematic priorities of the Programme: (1) Innovation, (2) Natural Resources, (3) Transport. The Programme area covers eight EU Member States (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, parts of Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden) and three partner countries (Belarus, Norway and parts of Russia). European Commission — Solutions to Improve Health in Cities
The EC calls for visionary and integrated solutions (e.g. therapy gardens, urban living rooms, creative streets, city farms) to increase citizens’ health and well-being in cities. These solutions should address reducing the exposure to climate-related risks, pollution (including noise), and environmental stress, among other factors. The Commission accepts requests in the range of €10 million. To be eligible, consortia must comprise at least 4 cities from different Member States or Associated Countries defined in the call for proposals. The deadline for applications is 19 February 2019. IHE Delft announces a call for “Research for Development Proposals led by Institutes from Developing Countries”. The purpose of this call is to encourage collaboration between researchers from developing countries and to stimulate problem-orientated research to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to water and development. Munich Re Foundation — RISK Award “Coastal Resilience”
The RISK Award seeks operational projects in the field of risk reduction and disaster management. The prize will provide financial support of €100 thousand to projects dedicated to increasing people’s resilience to risks and disasters, especially in developing countries. World Bank and RUFORUM — Strengthening Higher Agricultural Education in Africa
The World Bank and the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) jointly launch a Call for Proposals for a regional project for Strengthening Higher Agricultural Education for Agri-food Systems Transformation in Africa (SHAEA). The Project will support the governments of participating African countries to collectively build capacity and knowledge in selected key areas. Universities from Kenya, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique are eligible to apply if they meet the criteria detailed in the call for proposals. European Union — Kolarctic Cross-Border Cooperation
Kolarctic supports cross-border strategies between Russia, Finland, Sweden, and Norway in the Barents region of the Arctic. Projects may include issues related to environment and natural resources (e.g., fisheries, plant resources, climate change, etc.). Each proposal must have at least one actor from the EU (Sweden, Finland) and at least one from Russia.
