SANDEE invites concept notes for research projects in the area of environmental and resource economics relating to the development of South Asia and the Hindu Kush-Himalayan Region. SANDEE has particular interest in research proposals on forest restoration. Grants will range between US$20 thousand and US$30 thousand. Larger grants for multidisciplinary teams and transboundary issues are possible. Researchers (including early-career) from South Asia and the HKH employed by a university, research institute, a government agency or a nonprofit organizations are eligible. Green Campus Initiative — Green Fellowships 2020
Green Campus Initiative offers a 12 month fellowship program which will serve as a platform for executing eco-conscious ideas and innovations. Successful applicants will receive stipends and funded training. Applicants must be a recent graduate or postgraduate student currently undertaking a leadership role in an organization, company or association. The fellowship opportunity is open to all countries. Government of Japan — Japan Africa Scholarship Program
The Japan Africa Scholarship (JADS) Program, funded by the Government of Japan, provides a two-year scholarship to African students for post-graduate studies in Japan. JADS core areas of study focus include energy, agriculture, and environmental sustainability, among others. The scholarship program provides tuition, a monthly living stipend, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and travel allowance. The program is open to students who have gained admission to an approved Masters degree course at a Japanese partner university. Candidates should be 35 years old or younger. ASEAN Foundation — Leadership Training for Social Entrepreneurs
The eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN is a partnership program between Maybank Foundation and ASEAN Foundation that consists of mentoring, regional leadership training, and overseas local community projects. The program aims to improve social and economic well-being of ASEAN communities through social enterprises and will distribute US$20 thousand to 10 selected projects. Photographers will be compensated for their work with a stipend of €350. Local travel costs will be covered. Government of India — India-Israel Joint Research Cooperation
The Department of Science & Technology (DST) and the Ministry of Science and Technology of State of Israel provide financial support for joint research activities carried out by Indian and Israeli researchers.
