​The Asia-Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation (APFNet) offers a grant opportunity aimed at enhancing sustainable forest management and rehabilitation in the Asia-Pacific region.The Visiting Scholar Program supports young researchers in conducting scientific research and academic exchanges in sustainable forest management and rehabilitation. The Program offers scholars 3 or 6-month visits to YAFG to join research programs in the fields of silviculture, forest ecology, biological engineering, forest product processing, economic forestry, forest pest and disease management, and desertification control. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations — Global Forestry Champions

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) seeks to honor individuals, institutions, initiatives, and programs that have significantly impacted forestry development at national, regional, or global levels. Selected nominees will be recognized for their achievements across ten thematic areas, including forest restoration, biodiversity, climate action, and innovation. The call for nominations is open to governmental institutions; national, regional or local agencies; intergovernmental organizations; non-government organizations; academia; community service organizations; and the private sector. Association of Commonwealth Universities — Higher Education and SDGs Grants

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) accepts applications for the Higher Education and the SDGs Challenge Grants to fund collaborative work around the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The grants are open to professional and academic staff at ACU member universities. Four grants of £2,500 are available. Applicants are encouraged to collaborate with member universities to promote further Commonwealth partnerships or other organizations such as local governments. The closing date is 03 June 2025. Conservation Action Research Network — Aspire Grant Program 2025

The Aspire Grant Program provides competitive research grants of up to US$5 thousand for African graduate students and early-career professionals working in the areas of biodiversity, conservation, wildlife, and ecosystem health in the Congo Basin. Applicants should be 35 years of age or younger and reside in one of the following countries: Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, or Uganda. Global Landscapes Forum — Restoration Stewards

The Restoration Stewards program supports the work of young restoration practitioners and their teams through funding, mentorship, and training to deepen the impact of youth-led restoration projects. Teams receive a grant of €5 thousand to develop their restoration project and raise awareness among their local communities about the importance of ecosystem restoration and healthy landscapes. The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) calls for local non-governmental organizations and grassroots initiatives to join the GLFx network as local chapters. Selected organizations will receive access to various opportunities and resources to support sustainable landscapes across the world, with a specific focus on Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the Caribbean. American Association for the Advancement of Science — Science and SciLifeLab Prize for Young Scientists 2025

The Prize is awarded to a young scientist for outstanding life science research for which he/she was awarded a doctoral degree. The awards are made in four fields of life science research, one of which is Ecology and Environment. Eligible entrants for the 2025 Prize must have been awarded their doctoral degrees in 2023 or 2024. World Academy of Sciences — PhD in Chemical and Biological Sciences

The International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) offers postdoctoral fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (other than Pakistan) who wish to pursue postdoctoral research in organic chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular medicine, pharmacology or physical chemistry. The duration of the fellowships is six to twelve months. Subject areas range across the physical and natural sciences, including agricultural sciences. Pôle International Francophone des Gestionnaires de Sites Patrimoniaux — International Training in Sustainable Heritage Site Management

The French-speaking International Pole of the Great Sites Network of France (RGSF) invites applications for the 10th edition of the Intensive International Training “Building the Future of Heritage Sites together: Developing and Implementing Sustainable Management”. The training is intended for francophone managers working on natural or cultural heritage sites who wish to improve their professional practice. The workshop will be held in Bibracte-Morvan des Sommets (France). The program does not offer direct financial support but candidates from emerging countries will receive support in their search for a scholarship(s), provided that a local or national administration of the applicant’s home state agrees to finance at least part of the expenses. Vital Voices — Fellowships for Women Entrepreneurs

Vital Voices offers GROW Fellowships to women entrepreneurs who own small and medium-sized businesses. The program includes customized business skills training, technical assistance, leadership development, and access to networks to grow their businesses. Thematic business areas may include agriculture, fisheries, and forestry with potential for growth. A limited number of need and merit-based scholarships will be available.
