The British Ecological Society (BES) makes small research grants in support of scientific ecological research where there are limited alternative sources of funding. Small projects can be awarded up to £5 thousand. Applicants must be members of BES. King Baudouin Foundation — Access to Water
The Elisabeth and Amélie Fund supports Belgian organizations working with local partners in Africa, Latin America, and Asia to improve sustainable access to water. The 2026 call focuses on water management in family farming, guided by principles of agroecology and resilience to global change. The foundation provides funding of up to €50 thousand. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers a comprehensive range of scholarship programs for German and international students, graduates, and academics. DAAD offers scholarship programs that are generally open to all subjects as well as subject-specific programs. Financial support consists of a regular monthly payment over a specified period. In addition to contributing to students’ cost of living, scholarship holders may often receive subsidies for books, health insurance, or childcare. University of Nottingham — Tuition Fee Scholarship
The University of Nottingham offers five scholarships of £10 thousand towards full-time masters tuition fees for international students from India, Mexico, Turkey, or Vietnam. Sequoia Park Zoo — Conservation Grant Program
The Sequoia Park Zoo supports field research, habitat restoration, rescue and rehabilitation efforts, public awareness campaigns, and annual lecture series. The Zoo also offers an annual Conservation Grant Program, awarding up to US$3,000 per project, for work that delivers clear, measurable impact on wildlife or habitat conservation. Land is Life — Fellowship for Indigenous Women
The Indigenous Women’s Program Fellowship supports Indigenous women leaders (aged 18–35) from Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Pacific who are working on advancing land and resource rights, gender equity, and community well-being in their territories. Fellows receive a stipend of US$3,600, funding of up to US$3,000 for a community-level project, personalized mentoring, monthly training sessions, and networking opportunities. Amazon invites researchers to submit proposals focusing on data-driven solutions that reduce carbon and energy footprints in device manufacturing and use-phases. The overall goal is to inform business planning and resilience in order to make Amazon the most environmentally and socially responsible place to buy or sell goods and services. The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program offers full scholarships for graduate education at the American University of Beirut (AUB).
