The Environmental Justice in Technology (EJIT) Fellowship is a remote, 12-week program supporting projects at the intersection of environmental justice and technology. The fellowship provides a US$3,000 stipend for four fellows dedicating approximately 20 hours per week. Fellows will engage in one of four focus areas: digital zine publishing, climate misinformation research, educational material development, or creative cultural interventions. One Young World — Scholarships to Participate in the One Young World Summit 2025
The One Young World Summit brings together young talents (ages 18-30) from many nationalities to share solutions addressing the world’s pressing issues. To ensure that the most qualified young leaders participate in the Summit, regardless of their ability to pay, fully-funded scholarships are awarded. NYU — Climate Economics Journalism Fellowship
The NYU Stern Climate Economics Journalism Fellowship is a two-day, in-person program designed to enhance journalists’ understanding of the interactions between climate change. The fellowship includes sessions led by NYU faculty covering topics such as climate risks to financial stability, the economics of climate regulation, and the fast-changing economics of renewable energy. Fellows from outside the New York Metro Area receive a US$2,000 stipend for travel and accommodation; local fellows receive US$1,000. While aspects of the course have a focus on U.S. policies and institutions, NYU also welcomes applications from journalists based outside the United States. The application deadline is 20 April 2025. Arrell Food Institute — Global Food Innovation Awards 2025
The Arrell Food Institute invites nominations for the 2025 Arrell Global Food Innovation Awards. The Award recognizes global excellence in food innovation and community impact through research and food security. Individuals or teams of any country are eligible for nomination. Two winners will receive C$100 thousand each, plus up to C$25 thousand for travel and accommodation to participate in the Arrell Food Summit. Partnership for Observation of the Global Oceans — Fellowships 2025
The Partnership for Observation of the Global Oceans (POGO) supports capacity building in oceanography for individuals and institutions in developing countries. POGO’s Visiting Fellowships Program is open to scientists, technicians, graduate students (PhD), and post-doctoral fellows involved in oceanographic work. Priority is given to applicants in their early stages of career development. The fellowship offers the opportunity to visit other oceanographic centers for a short period of training on any aspect of oceanographic observations, analyses, and interpretation. Australian Museum Research Institute — Postgraduate Research Award
The Australian Museum Research Institute (AMRI) offers students access to the Australian Museum’s collections and research programs. AMRI focuses on environmental challenges such as climate change impacts on biodiversity, the detection and biology of pest species, and understanding what constitutes and influences effective biodiversity conservation. The postgraduate award is open to students enrolled in any postgraduate qualification program relevant to the AMRI research priorities. AMRI provides financial support of $2,500. Marion Dönhoff Foundation — Environment and Sustainability
Through the Succow Foundation, the Marion Dönhoff Grant supports open and critical debates in the areas of environmental journalism, political ecology, and sustainable development. The program is a fellowship for post-graduates with professional experience and activists of civil society networks and groups. The target regions are post-soviet states, including the South Caucasus and Central Asia. The fellowship funds a study and work visit in Germany for up to five months. The Volvo Environment Prize aims to promote scientific research and innovations that in broad terms fall within the environmental and sustainability field. The Volvo Environment Prize Foundation invites universities, research institutes, scientists, engineers, as well as other individuals and organizations to submit nominations. Priority is given to an individual or to a group of individuals. Past laureates have included leaders in fields such as global change, biodiversity, energy efficiency, and others.
