The Explorers Club — Impact Grants
The Explorers Club Impact Grants support individual researchers and explorers worldwide who conduct field-based scientific expeditions in disciplines such as ecology, earth sciences, anthropology, archaeology, paleontology, and astronomy—especially exploring regions experiencing environmental or cultural change. The Pollination Project — Animal Welfare Grants
The Pollination Project (TPP) supports individuals and groups who are working to protect farmed animals. TPP funds projects that aim to reduce the consumption of animals, advocate for farmed animal welfare, and raise awareness about farmed animal cruelty. The Pollination Project supports individuals and groups with US$1,000. Grants are open to anyone in the world, but applications from people in Brazil, India, and Mexico are especially welcome. The World Oceans Day Youth Advisory Council needs 15 new young ocean leaders from around the world. The Council works closely with The Ocean Project and its global partner network to help shape the development of World Oceans Day. Members will develop projects and help to shape World Oceans Day. The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites applications for story grants supporting in-depth reporting on how businesses in Thailand are responding to climate change. The grants aim to strengthen coverage of corporate climate action, emissions reduction, adaptation, sustainable finance, green technologies, and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Eligible applicants are journalists, editors, and media organizations based in Thailand with a proven record of environmental or business reporting. The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites applications for a two-day virtual media workshop designed to strengthen reporting on forest governance, deforestation, community rights, sustainable forest management, and global forest policies. Climate and Clean Air Coalition — Super Pollutant Country Action Accelerator
The Climate and Clean Air Coalition invites proposals for seven country-specific technical assistance projects under the Super Pollutant Country Action Accelerator. The calls support government-led action to reduce methane, black carbon, hydrofluorocarbons, and other short-lived climate pollutants through projects addressing agriculture, clean household energy, national policy and monitoring systems, and waste management in Cambodia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and South Africa. Eligible lead applicants are non-governmental organizations, intergovernmental organizations, and other not-for-profit entities; for-profit organizations may participate only as stakeholders, co-funders, or end users. Funding is not offered as one standard grant amount: each of the seven calls has its own estimated project cost. The wider Accelerator’s first cohort comprises Brazil, Cambodia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Nigeria, and South Africa and will collectively receive an initial US$25 million support package. The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites applications for a three-day workshop in Agra, India, designed to strengthen reporting and digital storytelling on renewable energy and the clean energy transition. The workshop is open to India-based communicators, journalists, and social media content creators with an interest in renewable energy, climate, and environmental issues. Preference will be given to applicants from Uttar Pradesh and neighboring states, while applicants from other parts of India are also encouraged to apply. World Bank Group — Africa Fellowship Program 2027
The Africa Region of the World Bank Group seeks applications for the 2027 WBG-Africa Fellowship Program for Ph.D. Students and recent Ph.D. graduates who are Sub-Saharan nationals. Fellows will spend at least six months at the World Bank offices in Washington, D.C., or in a Sub-Saharan country, getting hands-on experience in development work. While benefiting from research and innovation in multiple sectors, fellows will also work on economic policy, technical assistance, and lending to eliminate poverty and increase shared prosperity. Fellows will receive consultant fees, economy-class air travel, and worker’s compensation insurance. The program invites applications from recent Ph.D. graduates, or current doctoral students, in disciplinary fields that include agriculture, energy, and others.
