Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research — Fellowship Program

The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) enables early-career researchers to join a project team from another country for research activities that further our understanding of Antarctica. The fellowship is for PhD students to undertake research at major international laboratories, field facilities, or institutes in SCAR member countries. Applicants should be citizens of both a World Meteorological Organization member country and a developing economy. SCAR will offer three to four fellowships of up to US$15 thousand each. Stockholm International Water Institute — Stockholm Water Prize 2027

The Stockholm Water Prize is awarded annually for outstanding achievements supporting the availability, conservation, and protection of the world’s water resources. The award is open to individuals and organizations of any nationality whose work contributes broadly to the conservation and protection of water resources. LHoFT — Catapult: Inclusion LAC

The Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) invites applications for the inaugural edition of Catapult: Inclusion LAC, a bootcamp designed to support fintech startups advancing financial inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean. The program targets fintech companies in the pre-seed to series A stages that have developed at least a demonstrable minimum viable product and focus on solutions such as agritech, insurtech, or financial education. Selected participants engage in a one-week intensive training and networking program delivered in English, with the potential to proceed to a second week in Luxembourg. While the program does not provide direct cash grants, it is fully funded, covering travel and accommodation costs for one founding member per company. Pulitzer Center — Ocean and Fisheries Reporting Grant

The Pulitzer Center invites applications for its Ocean and Fisheries Reporting Grant, which supports in-depth journalism on underreported issues such as illegal fishing, marine pollution, and the impacts of climate change on coastal communities. The program is open to all journalists, including staff reporters, freelancers, photographers, and filmmakers from any country. Proposed projects should focus on systemic threats to marine biodiversity or the global supply chains that drive resource depletion. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations — Young Forest Champions

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) invites nominations for the Young Forest Champions initiative. This program recognizes individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 who lead innovative projects in forest monitoring using geospatial technology to support climate action. Eligible applicants include individual forest practitioners, researchers, and community leaders from Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Peru, Uganda, or Zambia, with a specific focus on those contributing to indigenous and local community efforts. Selected champions receive a US$10 thousand grant to scale their projects, along with technical mentorship and an invitation to participate in the XVIV IUFRO World Congress. Swedish Institute — Global Executive Program

The Swedish Institute invites applications for its Global Executive Programme, which focuses on integrating sustainability into core business strategies. The program covers all training fees, as well as accommodation and meals during a one-week onsite module in Stockholm; however, participants or their companies are generally expected to cover their own travel costs to Sweden. Hindsight Ventures — AFRISE Challenge

Hindsight Ventures invites applications for the AFRISE Challenge accelerator program. This initiative supports young African founders between the ages of 18 and 35 who are developing scalable solutions in sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and financial services. Eligible applicants must be based in Nigeria, Uganda, Morocco, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, or Senegal. Participants receive a four-week virtual bootcamp, mentorship from industry experts, and access to more than US$600 thousand in technology credits from partners like AWS and Microsoft. United Nations Environment Programme — Course on Multilateral Environmental Agreements

Egis Foundation — Climate Challenge

The Egis Foundation invites applications for the Team Up for Climate challenge to develop innovative solutions for climate change adaptation and resilience. This global competition is open to teams of two to five members consisting of current students or recent graduates from any country and academic discipline. Participants must propose an actionable project focused on a specific local area they know well. The first-place team receives €4,000 plus a €5,000 boost prize after six months of development and a study trip to Paris, while second and third-place winners receive €3,000 and €2,000 respectively in total funding. Earth Journalism Network — GEF Assembly Fellowships

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) provides fellowships for journalists to report on the Eighth Global Environment Facility (GEF) Assembly held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. This program is open to professional journalists from any medium, including print, online, radio, and television, who have a demonstrated track record of environmental reporting. Eligible applicants must be from low- or middle-income countries and possess at least five years of experience in the field. The fellowship covers all travel expenses, including airfare, accommodation, meals, and local transportation, and provides selected participants with specialized training and access to high-level interviews during the event.
