Funding of up to US$197 thousand will be awarded to be used for logistics and meeting coordination support for in-person and virtual meetings, as well as digital communications to promote environmental cooperation programs. ENI CBC Med — Call for Capitalization Projects
The Mediterranean Sea Basin Program is a cross-border cooperation initiative implemented by the EU and neighboring coastal territories. The ENI CBC Med finances cooperation projects with focus on biodiversity conservation, climate change, and pollution for a more sustainable Mediterranean area. ENI CBC Med accepts applications for capitalization projects in the following priority areas: Water Management, Waste Treatment and Recycling, Renewable Energy, Integrated Coastal Zone Management. StartupXs launches the COVID-19 Response Fund for start-ups and social enterprises with the aim to support early-stage social entrepreneurs to adapt to the pandemic. Support extends to social entrepreneurs whose projects focus on natural resources as well as other categories of the Terra Viva Grants Directory. Participation is open to any start-up or social enterprise worldwide. Priority is given to early-stage start-ups launching innovative products or ideas. One winner will receive US$1000. U.S. Department of State — Environmental and Scientific Partnerships to Reduce Deforestation
The U.S. Department of State aims to reduce supply chain linked-deforestation by improving relevant data and information. The program “Data for Jurisdictional Sourcing: Spurring Jurisdictional Approaches and REDD+ Action” supports the development of technical capacity and systems for identifying, collecting, and managing relevant information and data necessary to avoid further deforestation on a global scale. Funding of US$715 thousand will be made available to be used to increase developing country participation in jurisdictional sourcing approaches. European Commission — Civil Society Development in Argentina
The European Commission (EC) seeks to strengthen the civil society in Argentina to improve the difficult socio-economic situation linked to the financial crisis and the consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Therefore, the EC invites proposals that promote the adoption of environmentally and socially sustainable development policies. U.S. Department of Agriculture — International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) provides opportunities to U.S. citizens to assist developing countries in establishing school-based agricultural education programs. Proposals should include classroom instruction, field demonstrations, entrepreneurship projects, and leadership development. National Geographic Society — Stories of Tropical Rainforests
The National Geographic Society (NatGeo) supports storytelling projects that highlight attempts to mitigate or reverse human impacts on tropical rainforests. Priority for this RFP will be given to projects led by journalists and storytellers from countries within the Amazon River basin, Congo River basin, and rainforests in Southeast Asia. Proposals will be funded from US$5 thousand to US$70 thousand. The National Geographic Big Cats Initiative seeks projects benefiting big cat populations and their habitats via field-based and action-oriented programs in Africa.
