The GBEP Youth Award recognizes research conducted by students in the field of bioenergy. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to present their research and receive their award certificate during the GBEP Bioenergy Week at FAO headquarters in Italy (June 2024). Applicants should be within the age limit of 30 years old for bachelor and Master students, and 35 years old for Ph.D. students. Candidates must complete the application form before 31 March 2024. Goethe-Institut Bangkok — Science Film Festival
The Goethe-Institut Bangkok invites submissions to its annual Science Film Festival. The Film Festival is open to all formats as well as all genres of films on science, technology, and the environment. The festival makes six awards with a cash prize of €1,000 each. Deloitte — Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 13 (Climate Action)
The Young One World Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 13 seeks to support scalable youth-led solutions that address climate change. The challenge welcomes solutions from young innovators (18-30 years old). The winner will receive a US$50 thousand project startup grant and 12 months of mentorship from Deloitte professionals. Photographers Without Borders — Revolutionary Storyteller Grant
The Revolutionary Storyteller Grant supports revolutionary storytellers across all fields. Five recipients will be awarded US$5,000 to support the creation of an impactful photography project, a video, and a community exhibition. Village Capital launches an investment readiness program to support gender-diverse ventures creating sustainable economic, environmental, and social solutions across Europe. The program currently accepts 50 additional startups to participate in an online, self-paced investment-readiness curriculum. The program will run for twelve weeks. The University of Durham is open to applications for the Hatfield Lioness Scholarship 2024. The scholarship aims to enable female students from developing countries to undertake postgraduate studies at the University of Durham. BRILHO aims to improve access to energy for the people of Mozambique through investment in off-grid clean energy. BRILHO offers companies a mix of structured non-reimbursable funding and technical assistance. Businesses can apply for financial support ranging from £50 thousand up to £1.5 million. The program accepts project proposals for improved cooking solutions, solar home systems, and green mini-grids. Standards and Trade Development Facility — International Sanitary and Phytosanitary Requirements
The Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) aims to increase the capacity of farmers, processors and traders in developing countries to implement international SPS standards to gain and maintain market access. The STDF seeks applications to improve its food safety, animal and plant health capacity. Grants are expected to help address particular challenges or issues that affect trade to international markets. Projects should have a maximum duration of three years, or less. The STDF offers grants of up to US$1 million for projects that promote compliance with international SPS requirements.
