WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award invites nominations to recognize aquaculture initiatives from around the world that could contribute to increase efficiency and sustainability. The nominees will have created change that inspires others and shown what measures are necessary. Any organization, movement, business, group of people or individual can be nominated. German Missions — Small Scale Projects in South Asia
Germany’s Federal Foreign Office supports small scale projects in South Asia that address the needs of the underprivileged. Direct financial assistance is provided to Indian and Bhutanese NGOs and religious institutions for the implementation of small-scale projects for the benefit of disadvantaged groups of society. Projects must have a clear focus on “Helping people to help themselves” and aim to improve living conditions, for example, through water supply, energy supply, food security, reconstructions after a natural disaster etc. The average funding amount is €23 thousand per project. Fondation Ensemble — Sustainable Development and Conservation 2022
Fondation Ensemble supports field projects in sustainable development and conservation. The Foundation’s focus areas are sustainable agriculture, sustainable fishing, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable technologies. The eligible countries for all supported sectors are Ecuador, Peru, Laos, Myanmar. Mozambique is only eligible for sustainable fishing projects, European countries are only eligible for rewilding projects, and Madagascar is only eligible for marine biodiversity conservation and sustainable fishing projects. Truepic — Social Impact Grant 2022
Truepic is the leading photo and video verification platform. Truepic Vision helps organizations use authenticated images and videos to achieve their goals and aid their projects. Truepic announces the request for applications for the social impact grant program 2022. Truepic seeks partners that have a real understanding of how to use imagery to accelerate a mission and positively impact their community or the world. Selected organizations receive a minimum of one year of pro-bono development, use, support, and training of Truepic Vision’s premium platform where they will be able to request and crowdsource authenticated images and videos from any smartphone in the world. Eppley Foundation — Research in Biological and Physical Sciences
The Eppley Foundation for Research funds projects in medicine, life sciences, and the physical sciences. Areas of interest include innovative medical investigations and applications; endangered animals and ecosystems; and climate change. Applicants for grants must be associated with recognized nonprofit educational or research institutions in the US. Grants may be awarded for research internationally when applicants are based in the USA or are associated with U.S. institutions that will administer the grants. Most grants are under US$25 thousand. Children’s Climate Foundation — Children’s Climate Prize
The Children’s Climate Prize invites innovative and groundbreaking ideas and solutions on the issue of climate change. The prize is awarded to children aged 12-17 who have made extraordinary efforts for the climate and environment. The winners will be invited to Sweden and receive prize money of SEK 100 thousand to continue to develop their projects. Foundation Beyond Belief — Compassionate Impact Grant
Foundation Beyond Belief (FBB) makes grants to organizations that address critical community problems through evidence-based and culturally responsible social innovations. FBB will make one grant in the amount of US$30 thousand to one organization with the goal of increasing that organization’s ability to fulfill its mission. All applicants must be non-profit organizations with 501(c)3 status but grants are often used to support international community projects. Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance — Ocean Resilience Innovation Challenge
The Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance (ORRAA) seeks new finance and insurance innovations that build coastal resilience to ocean-derived risks. Organizations, local civil society, international NGOs and academia are invited to submit finance and insurance products that drive investment in coastal natural capital and increase resilience. Proposed projects must reduce ocean risk for the most vulnerable and protect biodiversity. Selected projects will receive customized support and benefit from tailored mentoring. Commission for Environmental Cooperation — Resilient Community Recovery from COVID-19
The Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) seeks grant applications from organizations to support environmental initiatives that help North American communities (including Mexico) implement solutions and strengthen their capacities to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021-2023 NAPECA grant cycle will support communities hardest hit by the effects of the pandemic, particularly vulnerable populations and some Indigenous peoples. A total of C$1.25 million in grants are available for non-profit organizations that wish to engage and partner with local and Indigenous communities, academics and non-governmental organizations in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
