Amazon — Research Awards

Amazon welcomes proposals related to climate risk/resilience, life cycle assessment and circular strategies. The overall goal is to inform business planning and resilience in order to make Amazon the most environmentally and socially responsible place to buy or sell goods and services. Selected partners may receive up to US$100 thousand in unrestricted funds. The application deadline is 13 November 2023. Link

Melton Foundation — Global Citizenship Learning Program

The Global Citizenship Learning Program is a 1.5 year learning program with virtual and in-person activities, and interdisciplinary community projects furthering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program is open to university students aged 18- 25 that are currently enrolled at one of our partner universities (China, India, Chile, Ghana, Germany, United States). UK Government — Climate Finance Accelerator

The Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) is a global technical assistance program to support climate smart projects to access finance. The aim is to facilitate a collaborative approach to unlocking finance for climate projects at scale and creating a pipeline of ‘investment ready’ low carbon projects. The CFA operates in Nigeria, Colombia, South Africa, Egypt, Uganda, Türkiye, Mexico, Peru, Pakistan, and Vietnam. The CFA offers a range of capacity building support to assist climate mitigation projects in accessing finance. Climate Tracker — Climate Journalism Mentorship Program

Climate Tracker invited applications for the Climate Journalism Mentoring Program, exclusive for Latin America and the Caribbean. Journalists from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela will publish stories on the impact of the climate crisis in the region, with a focus on the transition to fair energy. Tencent and Viva la Vida — THINC Fellowship

THINC is a 12-month fellowship program for creative inventors who leverage the power of technology to create a greener and more sustainable world. The program consists of virtual meetings, offline events, and marketing campaigns to build a professional network of young leaders from different disciplines worldwide. Climate Tracker — Caribbean Journalism Award

The Caribbean Journalism Award aims to recognize journalism focused on climate change and environmental issues within the Caribbean region. The competition is open to journalists, writers, photographers, videographers, and multimedia creators from the Caribbean region. Each Awardee will receive US$400. Global Solutions Initiative — Recoupling Awards

The “Young Global Changers Recoupling Awards” aim to reward young changemakers from all over the world who contribute actively towards a better alignment of economic prosperity with environmental sustainability. The award seeks to recognize impactful youth-led projects and initiatives that drive change on the ground. Projects can be social enterprises as well as youth-led nonprofit initiatives. Start Up Energy Transition — Award for Global Energy Transition

The SET Award is an international competition for start-ups and young companies worldwide who are working on ideas affecting global energy transition and climate change. The top 100-ranked applicants will receive a free ticket to the SET Tech Festival 2024. The winners in each of the five award categories can win up to €10 thousand in prize money. Echoing Green — Fellowships 2024

Echoing Green helps emerging social entrepreneurs around the world with grants of seed capital and technical assistance to support their start-up organizations. Seed funding of up to US$80 thousand over 18 months is offered to for-profit organizations in the form of recoverable grants. Past fellowships include examples in renewable energy, waste management, smallholder farming, climate change, and other societal challenges in developing countries. Center for International Forestry Research and World Agroforestry — Photo Competition

The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) seeks photographs that highlight the role of forests and trees in protecting the planet’s biodiversity. Entries can show trees in forests, on farms, in landscapes or any subject that depicts why trees matter to all forms of life on Earth. Participants can win up to US$500 and have their work displayed on CIFOR-ICRAF’s digital platforms. The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers from around the world.
