UK Royal Society — International Collaboration Awards

The International Collaboration Awards provide funding to enable research leaders in the UK to develop research collaborations with international partners. The grants are open to newly independent researchers ready to lead an international research program. Applications can apply to the Royal Society for up to £225 thousand over three years. Earth Journalism Network — Story Grants to Report on Great Apes and One Health in Africa

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers reporting grants to journalists in Africa to support the production of in-depth stories on threats faced by great apes, particularly the impact of disease and other health considerations, as well as conservation strategies to protect these species and their habitats. Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, radio) and other media practitioners with experience covering conservation and/or One Health issues in range countries. Campus France — Program SIAM 2026

by

France and Thailand administer SIAM to promote French-Thai research collaboration in subject areas that include energy, ecology and biodiversity, agriculture, and others. SIAM is a program of mobility grants to cover air transportation and related travel expenses up to a maximum of €12 thousand. Project proposals must be presented by at least one Thai partner and one French partner. The active participation of young researchers (doctoral and postdoctoral students) is a priority assessment criteria. The application deadline is 31 July 2025. Find details

Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Zimbabwe, Botswana and Malawi

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives supports small-scale, high-impact projects in Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Malawi. The priorities under this call include women’s economic rights (which can include agriculture), environment and climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, as well as on water management. The average contribution is C$35 thousand to C$50 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to local community organizations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions. Fondation Tutator — Change Through Technology

The Tutator Forward Grant Program provides in-kind support to nonprofit organizations and social enterprises worldwide by developing custom digital solutions that improve social or environmental impact. The grant offers tailored software development services to address operational or programmatic needs; a dedicated project team for implementation; six months of technical support and training post-deployment. No financial funding or hardware is provided. Projects must focus on new software development (not modifications of existing tools), and applicants must be nonprofit organizations or social enterprises with a mission to drive social or environmental change. The Global Development Network (GDN) launches a global consultation to gather insights on strengthening national research capacity in biodiversity. Researchers, policymakers, and practitioners are invited to share ideas on capacity-building mechanisms, successful policy-research partnerships, and sustainable funding strategies. Association of Commonwealth Universities — Higher Education and SDGs Grants

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) accepts applications for the Higher Education and the SDGs Challenge Grants to fund collaborative work around the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The grants are open to professional and academic staff at ACU member universities. Four grants of £2,500 are available.
