The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers organizational grants of US$5 thousand to US$12 thousand to media outlets, NGOs, and academic institutions to support media and journalism activities related to environmental crimes in the Amazon Region in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. EJN aims to strengthen the capacities of civil society actors and their regional networks to conserve biodiversity and prevent environmental crimes in the Amazon. Interested applicants should propose training activities for journalists, communicators and media professionals through workshops, webinars, or online courses, and/or support the production of investigative stories on environmental crimes that expand reporting in regional languages. Commission for Environmental Cooperation — Environmental Community Action
The Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) calls for applications for the new cycle of the North American Partnership for Environmental Community Action (NAPECA) grant program. The current call for proposals is aimed at organizations supporting environmental initiatives that will involve and empower Indigenous Peoples and communities and enhance climate adaptation by respectfully applying and protecting Indigenous knowledge systems. Climate and Clean Air Coalition — Reducing Methane Emissions from the Livestock Sector in Brazil
The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) accepts applications to develop a strategy for supporting the reduction of methane emissions intensity from livestock production in Brazil. The project should support farmers of various sizes without excluding small holders. To be eligible for consideration, project proposals must be submitted by a non-governmental organization. Restore4Life provides scientific and technical support for the implementation of wetland restoration solutions in Europe. Each associated region can apply for up to €100 thousand in project support. City Climate Finance Gap Fund — Urban Climate Action
The City Climate Finance Gap Fund (Gap Fund) supports cities and local governments in preparing and prioritizing climate-smart plans and investments with the goal of attracting more financing and support for implementation. The Fund focuses on climate-smart urban planning and early-stage project preparation in developing and emerging countries. Selected proposals will receive technical assistance and capacity building. Global Nature Fund — Living Lakes Network
Living Lakes is a global network of partnership organizations to protect lakes, wetlands, and other freshwater sources and their catchment areas. The network takes an ecosystem approach to include biodiversity conservation and support for local livelihoods, e.g., in agriculture, fisheries, tourism, etc. Living Lakes does not make project grants, but it offers network assistance to members. Members are able to include their projects and proposals in the Living Lakes portfolio for the attention of potential donors and sponsors. Members may also apply for assistance to participate in the meetings, workshops, and conferences of Living Lakes — and to seek other forms of networking and training support. The CFA operates in Nigeria, Colombia, South Africa, Egypt, Uganda, Türkiye, Mexico, Peru, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
