The UNICEF Venture Fund makes up to US$100 thousand in equity-free investments to provide seed funding to for-profit start-ups developing frontier technology solutions that can positively impact the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children and youth. The fund supports technology solutions from different fields, as long as they benefit vulnerable populations, including but not limited to, agriculture, water, and energy. African Development Bank — Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa
The Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) provides catalytic finance to unlock private sector investments in renewable energy. SEFA offers technical assistance and concessional finance instruments. Funding requests must be aligned with three strategic priorities: (1) Green Baseload; (2) Green Mini-Grids; (3) Energy Efficiency. The MedFund — Marine Biodiversity Conservation
The MedFund provides sustainable funding for marine biodiversity conservation. MedFund launches a call for interest dedicated to support Mediterranean MPAs’ managers by funding day to day management costs of protected marine areas. The funding request must not exceed an average annual amount of €75 thousand. The Water and Development Partnership Program supports transformations to ecologically sustainable water management practices. The Program launches a call for proposals open to applicants from non-European low-and middle-income countries. Ten projects with budgets up to €400 thousand will be selected. The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe launches a call for applications for UNESCO designated sites in Europe and North America. Eligible UNESCO sites are Biosphere Reserves, Global Geoparks, and Natural and Mixed World Heritage sites.
