European Commission — Natural Resource Management Malawi

The European Commission (EC) seeks to contribute to sustainable and inclusive transformation of food systems in Malawi. The EC seeks projects that lead to better preservation, restoration and regeneration of the natural resource base and its diverse ecosystems. Google — Environmental Journalism and Science Communication

The Sustainability Laboratory supports journalism and local content creators who work in the coverage of environmental issues and science communication. The program offers training to organizations and communication professionals in Brazil specialized in the coverage of environmental topics. The program will select 20 organizations from all regions of the country to participate in training and workshops. Eligibility extends to professional news organizations located in Brazil. InfoNile — Collaboration between Journalists and Scientists

InfoNile aims to promote science-based environmental journalism by facilitating collaboration between journalists and scientists. InfoNile invites applications from journalists and scientists in the Nile Basin countries (Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania, Egypt, Sudan, South Sudan, DRC, Ethiopia and Rwanda) for a fellowship program running from May to December 2023. Global Counsel — Social Impact Program

Global Counsel helps organizations in different sectors to understand how politics, policy and regulation affect them in practice. The Global Counsel Social Impact Program aims to support non-profit organizations, as well as small for-profits with strong values-based aims, on a pro bono basis. Successful applicants will benefit from a tailored fixed-term consultancy engagement. Not-for-profit organizations and small for-profit organizations worldwide, such as social enterprises, can apply. BridgeUSA — Global STEM Scholarship

The Office of Private Sector Exchange (BridgeUSA) of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs announces an open competition for the administration of the FY 2023 BridgeUSA Global STEM Scholarship Fund. The mission of BridgeUSA is to provide opportunities for international candidates looking to travel and gain experience in the United States. BridgeUSA plans to issue one cooperative agreement of approximately US$360 thousand to implement the program. Proposals must include a focus on climate change and should include U.S. partnership collaboration with institutions that focus on various STEM fields. Gerson Lehrman Group — Social Impact Fellowship

The GLG Social Impact Fellowship provides nonprofits and social enterprises with a two-year pro bono partnership with GLG. The Gerson Lehrman Group welcomes applications from organizations working across all issue areas, including but not limited to education, environment, global health, and social justice. U.S. Department of State — Congo Basin Conclave

The U.S. Embassy in Kinshasa announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to organize a regional conclave bringing together stakeholders working to preserve the Congo Basin. Phase one of the project will start with country-specific sessions for U.S. government selected participants. During phase two of the project, a maximum of 50 participants from the five country specific sessions will gather in Kinshasa for a 1-2 day Congo Basin Conclave. The Conclave will provide a forum that enables experts to network across borders. Finally, participants will conceive and propose projects for U.S. government funding that invest in the people of the Congo Basin. Awards to organize the conclave may range from US$200 thousand to US$250 thousand. Eligibility to apply extends to non-profit organizations, individuals, non-profit educational institutions and governmental institutions from s from the U.S. and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. U.S. Department of State — Countering Wildlife Trafficking in Sub-Saharan Africa

The U.S. Department of State seeks to strengthen the capacity of wildlife and timber-related institutions and actors in Sub-Saharan Africa. The call seeks to enhance law enforcement and justice sector efforts to counter wildlife trafficking, ultimately helping to disrupt wildlife trafficking operations, and removing opportunities for criminal organizations to profit from illicit proceeds derived from the wildlife trade. Funding ranges from US$500 thousand to US$2 million. Eligibility for this award is restricted to US-based and foreign non-profit organizations and educational institutions. European Commission — Rural Development in Montenegro

The European Commission seeks to increase the capacity of civil society, youth organizations, farmers’ organizations and local authorities as drivers of local development. The goal is to create opportunities for youth employment, especially in rural areas, as well as social entrepreneurship in rural/marginalized areas. The overall amount made available under this call for proposals is €500 thousand. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in China

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives supports small-scale, high-impact projects in China. The priorities under this call include women’s economic rights (which can include agriculture), environment and climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, as well as on water management. The average contribution is C$10 thousand to C$40 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to local community organizations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions.
