European Commission — Awareness Raising in Renewable Energy

The European Commission (EC) seeks to increase public and private-sector awareness of renewable energy & energy efficiency policies contributing to sustainable energy supply, consumption and security in Vietnam. The program will fund initiatives with up to €3.5 million. Eligibility to apply extends to non-profit civil society organizations or international organizations established in Vietnam or in a Member State of the European Union. Government of India — India-Japan Cooperative Science Program

The India-Japan Cooperative Science Programme (IJCSP) aims to promote bilateral scientific collaboration between Indian and Japanese scientists. Applications are invited from Indian researchers/scientists to submit proposals for Joint Research Projects and Joint Workshops/Seminars. Areas for cooperation for research include Life Science & Agriculture, among others. The duration of the projects can be up to two years. U.S. African Development Foundation — Smallholder Irrigation Revitalization Program

The Smallholder Irrigation Revitalization Program (SIRP) invites proposals from African cooperatives, producer groups, and associations for grant financing and local support for innovative solutions related to irrigation schemes. Proposals will only be accepted from registered agricultural cooperatives and SMEs in Zimbabwe working directly in the Agriculture value chain. The maximum grant award is US$50 thousand. U.S. Mission to New Zealand — Small Grants Program

The U.S. Mission New Zealand announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting proposals to organize a comprehensive small grants program with training workshops for emerging leaders in the Pacific region. The program should bring together emerging leaders, ages 25-35, and provide them with practical leadership skills related to environment/resource management and economic/social development. The location of the in-person training workshops should be in New Zealand. The estimated total program funding is US$250 thousand. Global Research Council — SDGs Collaborative Funding

The Global Research Council (GRC) aims to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs through collaborative research initiatives. Projects will be funded through international consortia consisting of eligible partner organizations from at least three different countries. Consortia must be based in the following countries: Chile, China, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Norway, South Africa, Switzerland, Sweden, Tanzania, The Netherlands and Turkey. United States Agency for International Development — Partnership to Conserve the Amazon

The United States Agency for International Development in Brazil (USAID/Brazil) seeks novel or creative approaches to conserve the Amazon and further advance biodiversity and forest conservation while promoting long-term community well-being. Each anticipated award will have a minimum value of US$2.5 million of USAID funding. Eligibility extends to on-profit organizations, companies, foundations, community-based enterprises, academic and research institutions. The closing date for applications is 14 July 2023. Link

U.S. African Development Foundation — Community Development in DRC

The United States African Development Foundation (USADF) provides assistance under the Community Development Institutions Program to assist local development institutions to strengthen their capacity to support community-based and other activities that benefit the underserved. USADF will provide funds to micro, small and medium enterprises and community-based groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The submission deadline for proposals is 31 July 2022. European Commission — Sustainable Algae-based Solutions

The European Commission (EC) invites innovative and sustainable algae-based solutions and products for uses such as human consumption, animal feed, wastewater treatment, or applications for agriculture to the market. Projects require multi-stakeholder engagements with active participation from academia, organizations, citizens, civil society, start-ups, SMEs and other businesses. European Commission — Marine and Freshwater Pollution

The European Commission (EC) offers grants to prevent and minimize marine and freshwater pollution from chemical pollutants. Proposals should focus on demonstrating replicable solutions to prevent and minimize pollution in the Mediterranean Sea including its major river catchment areas. The maximum amount of financial support is €100 thousand per region. Applicants must be established in the Member States of the European Union or low- and middle-income countries. Government of India — Young Scientists Innovator Prize

The BRICS Young Scientist Forum seeks to strengthen existing bilateral and multilateral relations as well as cooperation among its member countries Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. BRICS invites proposals from young scientists with projects in the thematic areas of biomedicine, low-carbon technology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and modern agriculture for the 7th BRICS-YSF Conclave in China. All participants will have the opportunity to attend the activities of the Science Communication Program. The program is open to scientists, engineers, technologists, innovators, science journalists, science professionals and researchers. Candidates to the BRICS Young Innovator Prize must be under the age of 30. Please note that candidates working in a private company are not eligible. Projects must be submitted until 10 July 2022.
