International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology — Research Mobility Grants

The ICGEB SMART Fellowship program provides fellowships to scientists in the early stage of their career wishing to spend between 3 and 9 months at a research institution in an ICGEB Member State other than their own. The stipend ranges from US$ 800 to US$1,500 per month. SMART Fellowships are intended to promote collaboration among researchers. Applications are welcome in any area of the Life Sciences. Young Americas Business Trust — InnovAction Challenge

The InnovAction Challenge 2.0 drives sustainable growth by accelerating current and new initiatives or businesses to increase the socio-economic participation of vulnerable groups. The program awards solutions that contribute to energy efficiency and natural resource management. The winning team will receive US$10 thousand in cash and 6 months of follow-up business training. EnDev — Solar Home System Liberia

The objective is to provide access to quality, clean, affordable, and better energy services in existing and underserved markets across Liberia through stand-alone solar home systems and close the affordability gap faced by the most vulnerable parts of the population. Companies will receive a financial incentive for achieving sales and installation of Solar Home System to customers. Private firms, NGOs, or cooperatives that follow commercial business models are eligible to apply for the program. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until 31 May 2024. Know more

Marsh Christian Trust — Support for Environmental Causes and Animal Welfare

The Marsh Christian Trust offers long-term core funding to small registered charities. It supports a few hundred different charities per annum across fields that include environmental causes and animal welfare, among other subjects. Since its inception, the Trust has been a supporter of organizations devoted to nature conservation and the well-being of wildlife, both within the UK and internationally. Grants range from £300 to £2,000. The applicant must be a UK registered charity. Applications are sent to the Trust’s postal address in London, where they are reviewed on a continuous basis. University of Reading — Research Grant

IMAGINE if… is a research grant for the provision of research and business support by the University of Reading and Henley Business School. The research grant is worth up to the value of £100 thousand. Shortlisted finalists will be paired with counselors and researchers before preparing a business proposal to solve a global development challenge. Silicon Valley Global Ventures is an investment, technology and advisory firm that invests in companies that go through their accelerator program. The THRIVE Academy supports idea stage and pre-seed stage startups in the agri-food tech sector. Milkywire — Climate Transformation Fund

The Milkywire Climate Transformation Fund (CTF) is a charitable fund that supports pioneering projects needed to reach global net zero. The fund supports nature-based solutions implemented by non-profit organizations that help to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change, such as afforestation, reforestation, forest preservation, restoration of degraded lands, and projects that directly avoid or reduce emissions. AgFunder — Foodtech and Agtech Accelerator

The GROW Impact Accelerator Program is a five-month accelerator for startups operating in new frontiers of foodtech and agtech. The program is designed for international startups looking to expand into Asia, and for regional startups to launch on the global stage. Campus France — Research Cooperation between France and Morocco

Partenariats Hubert Curien (PHC) Toubkal supports research cooperation between France and Morocco. PHC Toubkal finances the mobility of researchers and doctoral students, exchanges between researchers, training initiatives, and innovative joint research proposals. Eligible fields of research include environmental sciences, agronomic and veterinary sciences. The average funding amount is €30 thousand for three years. Mitigation Action Facility — Climate Change Mitigation Projects

The Mitigation Action Facility provides funding for ambitious and feasible climate change mitigation projects in three priority sectors: energy, industry, and transport. Projects shall have a duration between 36 and 66 months. The upper funding volume per project is €25 million. Projects must be implemented in Official Development Assistance (ODA)-eligible countries.
