European Commission — Sustainable and Organic Food Systems
The ERA-NET SUSFOOD2 and CORE Organic Cofunds (SF/CO) launches a joint call for transnational research project proposals on sustainable and organic food systems. The call aims to reinforce research cooperation between EU members and associated states to develop more sustainable food systems from production to consumption. The maximum budget is €1.5 million per research proposal. The call is open to research consortia comprised of a minimum of 3 independent legal entities from a minimum of 3 different SF/CO partner countries. India Department of Science and Technology — EU-India Clean Energy and Climate Partnership
The India Department of Science and Technology (DST) seeks applications for joint research projects with partner from the EU related to renewable energy and its integration in the energy system. Applicants can request a contribution between €5 to €6 million. Projects may include prototyping, testing, demonstrating, piloting, large-scale product validation and market replication. The Breakthrough Institute makes research fellowships to non-resident research collaborators with the Breakthrough Institute’s research program. The Institute supports research in energy, conservation, agriculture, with new approaches to major environmental and development challenges. UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council — Research Capability Building
BBSRC accepts applications for strategic training awards of up to 12 months in duration to support research capability addressing current global challenges. The purpose of this call is to build a portfolio of sustainable training resources in research priority areas, focusing on sustainable development in developing countries. Focus areas include sustainable energy; clean air, water and sanitation; resilience to long-term environmental change; sustainable marine resources and agriculture, among others. A total of up to £500 thousand is available to support the training activities. GCRF-STARS applications should be co-created and delivered through training partnerships between the UK partner and organisations from developing countries.
